2016–17 UC Riverside Highlanders Men's Basketball Team
The 2016–17 UC Riverside Highlanders men's basketball team represented the University of California, Riverside during the 2016–17 NCAA Division I men's basketball season. The Highlanders were led by fourth year head coach Dennis Cutts and played their home games at the UC Riverside Student Recreation Center, Student Recreation Center Arena as members of the Big West Conference. They finished the season 7–21, 5–11 in Big West play to finish in eighth place. They lost in the quarterfinals of the 2017 Big West Conference men's basketball tournament, Big West tournament to 2016–17 UC Irvine Anteaters men's basketball team, UC Irvine. Dennis Allen Cutts (born April 11, 1968) is an American basketball coach. He is the former men's basketball head coach for University of California, Riverside. Cutts was announced as a part of the Wisconsin Herd coaching staff on September 24, 2019.
