The 2016–17 Stetson Hatters men's basketball team represented Stetson University during the 2016–17 NCAA Division I men's basketball season. The Hatters, led by fourth-year head coach Corey Williams (basketball, born 1970), Corey Williams, played their home games at the Edmunds Center in DeLand, Florida as members of the Atlantic Sun Conference. Corey Williams (basketball, Born 1970)
Corey Williams (born April 24, 1970) is an American retired professional basketball player and assistant coach for the Auburn Tigers of the SEC Conference. He is the former men's basketball head coach of Stetson University. A point guard from Oklahoma State University, Williams was selected by the Chicago Bulls in the second round of the 1992 NBA draft. He played one season with the Bulls, averaging 2.3 points in 35 games as a reserve on a team which won the NBA Championship. He then spent the 1993–94 season with the Minnesota Timberwolves, scoring 11 points in 4 games. He spent the majority of the 1994 season with the Oklahoma City Cavalry of the Continental Basketball Association. The 2015–16 North Florida Ospreys men's basketball team represented the University of North Florida during the 2015–16 NCAA Division I men's basketball season. The Ospreys were led by seventh-year head coach Matthew Driscoll and played their home games at UNF Arena on the university's campus in Jacksonville, Florida as members of the Atlantic Sun Conference (A-Sun). For the second year in a row, the Ospreys won the A-Sun regular season championship. They finished the season 22–12, 10–4 in A-Sun play. Guard Dallas Moore was named A-Sun Player of the Year, the first such award for a North Florida player. Driscoll and his staff were named A-Sun Coaching Staff of the Year for the second year in a row.
