2016–17 Stanford Cardinal Men's Basketball Team
The 2016–17 Stanford Cardinal men's basketball team represented Stanford University during the 2016–17 NCAA Division I men's basketball season. The Cardinal were led by first-year head coach Jerod Haase. They played their home games at Maples Pavilion as members of the Pac-12 Conference. They finished the season 14–17, 6–12 in Pac-12 play to finish in a tie for ninth place. They lost in the first round of the Pac-12 tournament to Arizona State. Previous season The Cardinal finished the 2015–16 season 15–15, 8–10 in Pac-12 play to finish in ninth place. They lost in the first round of the Pac-12 tournament to Washington. Jerod Haase
Jerod Albert Haase (born April 1, 1974) is an American college basketball coach. He was the head coach for Stanford Cardinal men's team of the Pac-12 Conference from 2016 to 2024. Haase played college basketball at the University of California, Berkeley from 1992 to 1993, and then transferred to the University of Kansas to play under Roy Williams from 1994 to 1997. Haase was a Naismith and Wooden Award candidate while at Kansas. At Kansas, he only missed two games out of 101 and averaged 12.5 points per game, scoring 1,246 points over the span of his career. He was a member of the Big Eight all defensive team as a junior, and played at the World University Games in 1995. He then spent 13 years as an assistant under Williams at both Kansas and North Carolina before starting his own head coaching career. 2016 NBA Draft
The 2016 NBA draft was held on June 23, 2016, at Barclays Center in Brooklyn. It was televised nationally in the U.S. by ESPN, and was live streamed for the first time in NBA draft history by The Vertical. National Basketball Association (NBA) teams took turns selecting amateur U.S. college basketball players and other eligible players, including international players. The draft lottery took place during the playoffs, on May 17, 2016. Pinnacle High School
Pinnacle High School (PHS) is a public high school located in the north valley of Phoenix, Maricopa County, Arizona. PHS opened in 2000, and is a part of the Paradise Valley Unified School District (PVUSD). The students are called Pinnacle Pioneers and the school's mascot is Pioneer Pete. Sunnyslope High School
Sunnyslope High School is in the Glendale Union High School District in Phoenix, Arizona and offers courses for grades 9–12. It first opened in 1953. Description Sunnyslope was designed by the local architecture firm Edward L. Varney Associates. The construction contract to build the school was awarded to Farmer & Godfrey Construction Co.
