2016–17 San Jose State Spartans Men's Basketball Team
The 2016–17 San Jose State Spartans men's basketball team represented San Jose State University during the 2016–17 NCAA Division I men's basketball season. The Spartans, led by fourth year head coach Dave Wojcik, played their home games at the Event Center Arena as members of the Mountain West Conference. They finished the season 14–16, 7–11 in Mountain West play to finish in a tie for eighth place. They lost in the first round of the Mountain West tournament to Utah State. On July 10, 2017, Dave Wojcik resigned as head coach for personal reasons. On August 4, the school hired Jean Prioleau as head coach. Previous season The Spartans finished the season 9–22, 4–14 in Mountain West play to finish in last place. Dave Wojcik
David Edward Wojcik (born December 12, 1968) is an American basketball coach who is currently head boys' basketball coach at the Linsly School. He previously was a college basketball coach, most recently head men's basketball coach at San Jose State from 2013 to 2017. Early life and college playing career A native of Wheeling, West Virginia, Dave Wojcik graduated from Wheeling Central Catholic High School in 1987. At Wheeling Central Catholic, Wojcik played point guard and was a McDonald's Honorable Mention All-American selection as a senior. Wojcik then attended Loyola College in Baltimore and played on the Loyola Greyhounds men's basketball team for four seasons, under coach Mark Amatucci from 1987 to 1989 then Tom Schneider from 1989 to 1991. In his freshman season, Wojcik played 29 games with 8 starts and averaged 3.2 points and 1.2 rebounds. Avon Old Farms
Avon Old Farms School is a boarding school for boys located in Avon, Connecticut, United States. Theodate Pope Riddle, one of America's first female architects, founded the school in 1927. History The school's conception dates to a few years before 1918 when Riddle purchased of land on which to build it. Together with the architect Charles A. Platt, she toured several boys' schools in New England, including Andover, Groton School, Hotchkiss School, Middlesex School, Pomfret School, St. Mark's School, and St. Paul's School, but as she wrote to a friend, "They all illustrate exceedingly well the things I wish to avoid." Westchester Enriched Sciences Magnets (WESM) is a magnet high school in the Los Angeles Unified School District, West Region. It is located in Westchester (Los Angeles), a neighborhood adjacent to Los Angeles International Airport and bordered by Playa Vista to the north, Inglewood to the east, El Segundo to the south, and Playa del Rey to the west.
