2016–17 North Carolina Tar Heels Men's Basketball Team
The 2016–17 North Carolina Tar Heels men's basketball team represented the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill during the 2016–17 NCAA Division I men's basketball season. Roy Williams (coach)
Roy Allen Williams (born August 1, 1950) is an American retired college basketball coach who served as the men's head coach for the North Carolina Tar Heels men's basketball, North Carolina Tar Heels for 18 seasons and the Kansas Jayhawks men's basketball, Kansas Jayhawks for 15 seasons. He was inducted into the College Basketball Hall of Fame in 2006 and the Basketball Hall of Fame in 2007. Williams started his college coaching career at University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill, North Carolina as an assistant coach for Dean Smith in 1978. Four years later, North Carolina won the national championship. The 2016 Atlantic Coast Conference men's basketball tournament is the postseason men's basketball tournament for the Atlantic Coast Conference and was held at the Verizon Center in Washington D.C. from March 8 to 12, 2016. It was televised nationally in the U.S. by ESPN, and was live streamed for the first time in NBA draft history by The Vertical. Marion, Iowa
Marion is a city in Linn County, Iowa, United States. The population was 26,294 at the 2000 census and was 41,535 in 2020, an increase of 58%. The city is located next to Cedar Rapids and part of the Cedar Rapids Metropolitan Statistical Area. History The town was named after Francis Marion, a hero of the Revolutionary War. The site was selected in 1839 to be the first county seat of the newly organized Linn County. After years of debate over moving the county seat to Cedar Rapids, it was put to a vote in 1919. Marcus Paige
Marcus Taylor Paige (born September 11, 1993) is an American professional basketball coach and former player. He played college basketball for the University of North Carolina, where he helped lead the Tar Heels to the 2016 NCAA championship game, and now serves as an assistant coach at his alma mater.
