2016–17 Jacksonville Dolphins Men's Basketball Team
The 2016–17 Jacksonville Dolphins men's basketball team represented Jacksonville University during the 2016–17 NCAA Division I men's basketball season. The Dolphins, led by third-year head coach Tony Jasick played their home games at Swisher Gymnasium on the university's Jacksonville, Florida campus as members of the Atlantic Sun Conference. They finished the season 17–16, 5–9 in ASUN play to finish in sixth place. They lost in the quarterfinals of the ASUN tournament to North Florida. They were invited to the CollegeInsider.com Tournament where they lost in the first round to Saint Francis (PA). Tony Jasick
Anthony Michael Jasick (born April 17, 1978) is an American men's college basketball acting head coach. He was previously the head coach at Jacksonville and IPFW. He was the third head coach at the NCAA Division I level for the Mastodons. Early life and education Born and raised in Whitehall, Michigan, Jasick graduated from Whitehall High School in 1996. Jasick played point guard at Whitehall. After high school, Jasick attended Muskegon Community College and also played basketball there before transferring to Mars Hill College, where he graduated with a B.S. in biology education in 2000. Jasick later completed a master's in education in 2002 at Lincoln Memorial University. Coaching career Jasick began his coaching career in 2002 at the Division II level as a volunteer assistant at North Alabama. Lake Wales is a city in Polk County, Florida, United States. It is part of the Lakeland-Winter Haven, Florida Metropolitan Statistical Area. The population was 16,361 at the 2020 census. History Early history A survey by W.A. Williams and J. Jackson, deputy surveyors of the State of Florida was made of the region around present-day Lake Wales. The area was considered to be uninhabitable by early settlers. By 1879, the land around the present city was surveyed again by Sidney Irving Wailes, an agent for the Florida Land and Improvement Co., who changed the name of a lake, then known as Watts Lake, to Lake Wailes. Dulles High School (Sugar Land, Texas)
John Foster Dulles High School, more commonly known as Dulles High School, is a high school in Sugar Land, Texas. It was the first site purchase and new build, in the 1950s, of the newly formed Fort Bend Independent School District, which held its first graduation in 1960. The first class to graduate from Dulles itself was 1962. Its mascot is the Viking, and its team colors are red, white and blue. Its slogan was "Set Sail" up until the end of the 2018–2019 school year, but was changed to "Viking True" the next school year. It was changed back to "Set Sail" in the 2024-2025 school year. Wareham High School is a public high school located in Wareham, Massachusetts, United States. The school is a part of the Wareham Public School System, and serves roughly 500 students in grades 812. Wareham High School's colors are Blue, Gold & White, and their mascot is the Vikings. Eastern Guilford High School
Eastern Guilford High School is a secondary school located in Gibsonville, North Carolina. The school opened in 1974. Today, it serves Grades 9 through 12, with an enrollment of approximately 1,200 students. On November 1, 2006, a fire erupted at the school burning it to the ground. It was believed to have started in a closet in a science classroom. Authorities believe the cause to be arson, yet no leads have come forth in over 15 years. New school construction The students of Eastern Guilford were attending classes at a " pod village". Construction of the new Eastern Guilford High School building is complete.
