2016–17 Columbia Lions Men's Basketball Team
The 2016–17 Columbia Lions men's basketball team represented Columbia University during the 2016–17 NCAA Division I men's basketball season. The Lions, led by first-year head coach Jim Engles, played their home games at Levien Gymnasium in New York City and were members of the Ivy League. They finished the season 11–16, 5–9 in Ivy League play to finish in fifth place. They failed to qualify for the inaugural Ivy League tournament. Previous season The Lions finished the 2015–16 season 25–10, 10–4 in Ivy League play to finish in third place. Jim Engles
Jim Engles (born August 18, 1968) is an American college basketball coach and the former coach of the Columbia Lions men's basketball team. He has also been the head men's basketball coach at the New Jersey Institute of Technology New Jersey Institute of Technology (NJIT) is a Public university, public research university in Newark, New Jersey, United States, with a graduate-degree-granting satellite campus in Jersey City. California Golden Bears Men's Basketball
The California Golden Bears men's basketball team is the men's college basketball team representing the University of California, Berkeley, in NCAA Division I, currently playing in the Atlantic Coast Conference (ACC). The program has seen success throughout the years, culminating in a national championship in 1959 under coach Pete Newell, and the team has reached the final four two other times, in 1946 and 1960. The team plays its home games at Haas Pavilion, which was long known as Harmon Gym before being heavily renovated with money donated in part by the owners of Levi Strauss & Co. Queen's Grant High School is a charter school in Matthews, North Carolina. The campus is on 32 acres, formerly Idlewild Country Club. It is an extension of Queen's Grant Community School, an NHA charter that offers grades K-8. History Queen's Grant was formed in 2006, and opened in 2007 with ninth and tenth grades.
