2016–17 Boston College Eagles Men's Basketball Team
The 2016–17 Boston College Eagles men's basketball team represented Boston College during the 2016–17 NCAA Division I men's basketball season. The Eagles, led by third-year head coach Jim Christian, played their home games at the Conte Forum as members of the Atlantic Coast Conference. They finished the season 9–23, 2–16 in ACC play to finish in last place. As the No. 15 seed in the ACC tournament, they lost in the first round to Wake Forest. Previous season The Eagles finished the 2015–16 season with a record of 7–25, 0–18 to finish in last place in ACC play. This was the first time a team went winless in the ACC during a season. Jim Christian
James Patrick Christian (born February 6, 1965), known professionally as Jim Christian, is an American college basketball coach who most recently served as the head coach of the Boston College men's basketball team. He previously held the same position at Kent State, TCU and Ohio. On April 25, 2018, Christian signed a two-year contract extension to remain at Boston College through the 2021–22 season. He was relieved of his duties on February 15, 2021. Playing career James Patrick Christian was born in Bethpage, New York. He was an all-state guard at St. Dominic High School in nearby Oyster Bay while playing under Ralph Willard, who later was the head coach at Western Kentucky, Pittsburgh, and Holy Cross. Matthew Richard Milon (born May 26, 1996) is an American professional basketball player who last played for Fribourg Olympic of the Swiss Basketball League (SBL). He played college basketball for Boston College, William & Mary and UCF. Early life and high school career Milon was born in Gainesville, Florida and raised in Oviedo, Florida.
