The Bahraini King's Cup is a cup competition involving teams from the Bahraini Premier League and 2nd tier. Muharraq are the current holders of the King's Cup, having defeated Riffa in last year's final. Manama defeated Muharraq in the final to win their first King's Cup. Manama Club (football)
Manama Club () is a Bahraini professional football club based in Manama. Founded in 1946, the club competes in the Bahraini Premier League, the top flight of football in the country. Manama Club, formally known as Al Taj, is a well-known basketball club in the Gulf and Asia. They have won two Gulf Championships, and were the first-ever Bahraini club and only the second Gulf club to come in third place in the 2000 ABC Champions Cup. Manama Club has won over 45 basketball titles in domestic competitions. The club is not as successful in football, however they won their first two titles, the Bahraini King's Cup and Bahraini Super Cup, in 2017. Al-Riffa Sports Club () is a Bahraini professional football club based in Riffa, that competes in the Bahraini Premier League, the top flight of Bahraini football. History The club was founded in 1953 as West Riffa Sports Club. In 2001, the club changed its name to Al-Riffa Sports Club. Qalali Club
Galali (in local dialect) or Qalali in Classical Arabic () is a small area in the Kingdom of Bahrain, located on Muharraq Island, north of Muharraq City. Galali used to be the farthest north point of Bahrain before the development of the manmade artificial islands of Amwaj Islands. Around 2000 people used to live in Galali (1991 census). Today, Galali is 16 times bigger than it was 25 years ago because of reclamation of sea. The inhabitants of the village are mostly Sunni Arabs, Arabized Persians, and African-Bahrainis. Before the discovery of oil in Bahrain, most of the town's inhabitants were seamen who were involved in the pearl diving and fishing industry. Al-Ahli Club (Manama)
Al-Ahli Club of Manama () is a Bahraini football club based in Manama, Bahrain. History Al Ahli (formerly known as Al Nusoor), along with Muharraq Club, is considered to be the pillar of sports in Bahrain. Another club known as Al Tursana (which reached the Bahraini King's Cup in 1969) merged with Al Nusoor to form Al-Ahli Club. The matches between Al Ahli and Muharraq are known to draw the largest fan attendance in the Bahraini league and is considered to be the Bahrain derby. Today they still are known to have the best youth products on their side, and focus primarily on the youth players to challenge for the league title.
