2016–17 Arkansas Razorbacks Men's Basketball Team
The 2016–17 Arkansas Razorbacks men's basketball team represented the University of Arkansas during the 2016–17 NCAA Division I men's basketball season. The team was led by sixth-year head coach Mike Anderson, and played their home games at Bud Walton Arena in Fayetteville, Arkansas as a member of the SEC. Previous season Arkansas did not continue the momentum it had built in 2014–15, after finishing second to Kentucky in the SEC and winning a game in the NCAA tournament for the first time in seven years. They lost Chicago Bulls forward Bobby Portis to the NBA and Michael Qualls also declared but was not drafted after sustaining a knee injury. Seniors Rashad Madden and Alandise Harris graduated, and Nick Babb elected to transfer to Iowa State. Mike Anderson (basketball, Born 1959)
Michael Andre Anderson (born December 12, 1959) is an American basketball coach, most recently the head coach of the St. John's Red Storm. He came to St. John's after previously serving as head coach at UAB, Missouri and Arkansas. He also served as an assistant/associate head coach under Nolan Richardson at Arkansas for 17 years. Over his 20 seasons as a head coach, Anderson has compiled a 414–235 record, 11 20-win campaigns, 9 NCAA Tournament appearances, two Sweet 16 berths and a run to the 2009 Elite Eight. Anderson is one of just 3 current Division I head coaches with 15+ years of experience and no losing seasons, along with Mark Few and Tom Izzo. Michael Qualls
Michael Rashad Qualls (born January 20, 1994) is an American professional basketball player for the Borneo Hornbills of the Indonesian Basketball League (IBL). He played college basketball for the Arkansas Razorbacks and is most notably remembered for his go-ahead slam dunk with 0.2 seconds left in overtime against Kentucky in 2014. High school career Qualls attended Huntington High School where he led them to four district championships, including a senior season in which he averaged 17.8 points per game, guiding Huntington to 33 wins, making him the third-ranked player in the state of Louisiana in the class of 2012, with an ESPN.com scout grade of 89. Campti, Louisiana
Campti is a town in the northern part of Natchitoches Parish, Louisiana, United States. The population was 1,056 at the 2010 census. It is part of the Natchitoches Micropolitan Statistical Area. Bartlett is a city in Shelby County, Tennessee, United States. The population was 57,786 at the 2020 U.S. Census. History Bartlett, originally called "Union Depot", first served as the last major Tennessean depot along the westward stagecoach route from Nashville. DeSoto, Texas
DeSoto is a city in Dallas County, Texas, United States. DeSoto is a suburb of Dallas and is part of the Best Southwest area, which includes DeSoto, Cedar Hill, Duncanville, and Lancaster.
