The Women's team sprint was held on 20 October 2016. Results Qualifying The fastest 8 teams qualify for the first round. * Q = qualified First round First round heats are held as follows: Heat 1: 4th v 5th qualifier Heat 2: 3rd v 6th qualifier Heat 3: 2nd v 7th qualifier Heat 4: 1st v 8th qualifier The heat winners are ranked on time, from which the top 2 proceed to the gold medal final and the other 2 proceed to the bronze medal final. * QG = qualified for gold medal final * QB = qualified for bronze medal final Finals The final classification is determined in the medal finals. UEC European Champion Jersey
The UEC European Champion jersey is the distinctive, identifiable cycling jersey, jersey that the winner of a bicycle racing, bicycle race receives at European Cycling Championships organized by the Union Européenne de Cyclisme, European Cycling Union (UEC), such as the European Road Championships and the European Track Championships. The jersey is predominantly blue with gold European stars. Eimear Moran (born 21 February 1984) is an Irish competitive cyclist and rower who has represented Ireland at European and World events. Personal life Born in Tullamore, Moran began rowing competitively when she was 14. Her first international race was the junior European championships where she won silver in the quad event. She attended university at the University of Sunderland. Rowing In 2000, she won the junior doubles at the Irish national championships and represented The King's Hospital at the Henley Regatta where she also won. Rachel Sarah James (born 30 August 1988) is a Welsh racing cyclist specializing in track cycling.
