2016 Asian Women's Club Volleyball Championship
The 2016 Asian Women's Club Volleyball Championship was the 17th staging of the AVC Club Championships which was hosted by the Philippines. The tournament was held at the Alonte Sports Arena in Biñan, Laguna. It was held from September 3 to September 11, 2016. The tournament was organized by the Philippine Super Liga and the Larong Volleyball sa Pilipinas, Inc. The tournament serves as the 2nd Asian tournament which was hosted by the LVPI following the Asian Under-23 Championships hosting in 2015. is a women's volleyball team based in Kawasaki, Kanagawa Prefecture, Japan. It plays in V.League 1. The owner of the team is NEC. The club was founded in April 1978 as NEC's corporate team, participating the same year in the 10th V.Challenge League tournament. Bangkok Glass Volleyball Club () was a Thai professional volleyball club based in Pathum Thani Province and was managed by BG FC Sport Co., Ltd. which was a subsidiary of Bangkok Glass Group of Companies. Bangkok Glass FC played in the Women's Volleyball Thailand League, Thailand League after their club was founded in 2014. Their home stadium was BG Sport Hall which has a capacity of 4,000. The Foton Tornadoes were a professional women's volleyball team in the Premier Volleyball League (PVL). The team was owned by United Asia Automotive Group, Inc. (UAAGI). History The team debuted in the Philippine Superliga (PSL) during the 2014 Grand Prix as Foton Tornadoes. The original Foton team would be renamed as the Chery Tiggo Crossovers heading the 2020 season. Chery joined the professional PVL in 2021.
