2016–17 Siena Saints Men's Basketball Team
The 2016–17 Siena Saints men's basketball team represented Siena College during the 2016–17 NCAA Division I men's basketball season. The Saints, led by fourth year head coach Jimmy Patsos, played their home games at the Times Union Center, with one exhibition game at Alumni Recreation Center, as members of the Metro Atlantic Athletic Conference. They finished the season 17–17, 12–8 in MAAC play to finish in a tie for third place. Jimmy Patsos
James John Patsos (born October 1, 1966) is an American sports commentator and former college basketball coach. He served as an assistant coach, then head coach at Loyola (MD) and Siena, and is now a commentator and broadcaster. He currently serves as the color commentator for Towson and George Washington men's basketball games. Patsos earned his B.A. from Catholic University in 1989. There, he played basketball under Jack Bruen, who later coached Colgate University to a couple of NCAA tournament appearances in the 1990s. Early career Patsos served on the coaching staff of Gary Williams at the University of Maryland for 13 years, beginning as a volunteer assistant in 1991. Patsos took over at Loyola after they suffered a 1–27 season under former coach Scott Hicks. Patsos was the 20th head coach of Loyola men's basketball. CBE Hall Of Fame Classic
The Hall of Fame Classic (formerly known as the Guardians Classic, CBE Classic, CBE Hall of Fame Classic and Hall of Fame Classic) created by the National Association of Basketball Coaches (NABC) is an annual season-opening college basketball tournament founded in 2001. The tournament is currently held in mid-November at T-Mobile Center in Kansas City, Missouri. Before the 2007 tournament, the final rounds were held at Municipal Auditorium, except for one year at Kemper Arena in 2001. Tournament Format From the inaugural tournament in 2001 until 2019, twelve teams participated in the tournament. The 2016–17 Cornell Big Red men's basketball team represented Cornell University during the 2016–17 NCAA Division I men's basketball season. The Big Red, led by first-year head coach Brian Earl, played their home games at Newman Arena in Ithaca, New York and were members of the Ivy League. Loudonville is a hamlet in the town of Colonie, in Albany County, New York, United States. Loudonville was a census-designated place (CDP) in the 1970, 1980, and 1990 US Census. Pearl River is a hamlet and census-designated place in the town of Orangetown, Rockland County, New York, United States.
