The 2016–17 Lebanese FA Cup was the 45th edition of the national football cup competition of Lebanon. It started with the First Round on 17 September 2016 and concluded with the final on 7 May 2017. Defending champions Nejmeh SC, Nejmeh lost to Safa SC, Safa in the semi-finals. Al Ansar FC, Ansar went on to win their 14th title, qualifying for the 2018 AFC Cup group stage. Nejmeh Sporting Club () is a Association football, football club based in Manara, a neighbourhood in Ras Beirut, Beirut, Lebanon, that competes in the . The club was established in Beirut in 1945, and received its license in 1947. Nejmeh have won nine Lebanese Premier League titles, eight Lebanese FA Cup, Lebanese FA Cups, 12 Lebanese Elite Cup, Lebanese Elite Cups, and seven Lebanese Super Cup, Lebanese Super Cups. Nasser Club Bar Elias
Nasser Club Bar Elias (), or simply Nasser, is a football club based in Barelias, Beqaa, Lebanon. Founded in 1970, the club competes in the . History Located in the city of Barelias, Nasser was founded in 1970. After finishing in 11th place in the 2020–21 Lebanese Second Division, Nasser were relegated to the Lebanese Third Division. Outside football The club has welcomed Palestinian and Syrian players from refugee camps in the city; around 200,000 Syrian refugees and 7,000 Palestinians live in the Barelias area. The club helps fight the garbage problem, and the pollution of the Litani River, organizing regular clean-up operations in the city. They developed educational programs and developed the first secondary school in the city for 50,000 Lebanese and 15,000 Palestinian students. Tadamon Sporting Club Sour (), known as Tadamon Sour or simply Tadamon, is a football club based in Tyre, Lebanon, that competes in the , and is primarily supported by the Shia Muslim community. They play their home matches at the Tyre Municipal Stadium, and have won one Lebanese FA Cup and two Lebanese Challenge Cups. History In 1939, a group of students from Tyre, Lebanon, established a football team, which officially received its license in 1947. Due to the 1948 Palestinian expulsion and flight, a number of Palestinian players joined Tadamon Sour. The team played numerous games in Syria and Jordan, and hosted Egyptian club Al Ahly in Tyre. Eastern European Summer Time (EEST) is one of the names of the UTC+03:00 time zone, which is 3 hours ahead of Coordinated Universal Time. Riada Wal Adab Club () is a football club based in Tripoli, Lebanon, that competes in the . Nicknamed "Ambassador of the North" (), Riada Wal Adab was founded in 1930. Al Mabarra Club () is a football club based in Tarik Al-Matar, a district in Beirut, Lebanon, that competes in the . Established in 1987, they won one Lebanese FA Cup in 2008. The club had promoted gradually along the different divisions, before reaching the Lebanese Premier League for the first time in 1989. Mabarra have Shia ties.
