2016–17 Fort Wayne Mastodons Men's Basketball Team
The 2016–17 Fort Wayne Mastodons men's basketball team, formerly known as the IPFW Mastodons, represented Indiana University – Purdue University Fort Wayne during the 2016–17 NCAA Division I men's basketball season. The Mastodons, led by third-year head coach Jon Coffman, played their home games at the Gates Sports Center and the Allen County War Memorial Coliseum as members of The Summit League. They finished the season 20–13, 8–8 in Summit League play to finish in a three-way tie for fourth place. They defeated the number 3 ranked Indians Hoosiers 71-68 in overtime. They lost in the quarterfinals of the Summit League tournament to Omaha. They were invited to the CollegeInsider.com Tournament where they defeated Ball State in the first round and received a second round bye before losing in the quarterfinals to Texas A&M–Corpus Christi. Jon Coffman
Jonathan Glenn Coffman (born July 28, 1973) is an American college basketball coach, currently men's head coach at Purdue University Fort Wayne. Coffman was hired as an assistant to head coach IPFW head coach Tony Jasick in 2011. When Jasick chose to leave for Jacksonville in 2014, Coffman was promoted to head coach. 2016-17 NCAA Division I Men's Basketball Rankings
16-17 is a band from Basel, Switzerland. Their music combines punk rock, hardcore punk, jazz and industrial music. Biography 16-17 was founded in 1983 by Alex Buess, Knut Remond and Markus Kneubühler. When the group played its first concerts in 1983 it was received with controversial reactions: there were hardly any groups that played in an approximately similar style. Only some years later around 1986 groups like Painkiller, Last Exit or The Flying Luttenbachers appeared . They played a similar mix of rough noise, heavily amplified instruments and free jazz inspired improvisation. 1983 to 1994 the group did a lot of tours and played many gigs all over Europe, Japan and USA. From this period there are three official releases: the cassette ''Buffbunker and Hardkore'', the LP ''16-17'' (Label Rec Rec) as well as the LP '' When All Else Fails...'' (Label Vision/Praxis). West Chicago, Illinois
West Chicago is a city in DuPage County, Illinois, United States. The population was 25,614 at the 2020 census. It was formerly named Junction and later Turner Junction, after its founder, John Bice Turner, president of the Galena and Chicago Union Railroad (G&CU) in 1855. The city was initially established around the first junction of railroad lines in Illinois, and today is still served by the Metra service via West Chicago station. History Erastus Gary, of Pomfret, Connecticut, homesteaded on the banks of the DuPage River, just south of West Chicago's present day city limits in the 1830s.
