2015–16 West Ham United F.C. Season
The 2015–16 season was West Ham Uniteds fourth campaign in the Premier League since being promoted in the 2011–12 season. It was West Ham's 20th Premier League campaign overall, their 58th appearance in the top division, and their 121st year in existence. As well as competing in the Premier League, West Ham United took part in the FA Cup and League Cup, entering at the third round in both competitions. As a result of topping the fair play table last season, the club also qualified for this season's UEFA Europa League competition. Slaven Bilić was the team's manager, replacing Sam Allardyce. Bilić was appointed on 9 June on a three-year contract. After Kevin Nolan left West Ham on 27 August 2015, Mark Noble was the current captain. Kevin Nolan
Kevin Anthony Jance Nolan (born 24 June 1982) is an English former professional footballer and current first team coach for Premier League club West Ham United. He has represented England at under-21 level. After growing up in Toxteth, Liverpool, Nolan signed for Bolton Wanderers at the age of 16. Part of the team that beat Preston North End in the 2001 First Division play-offs to gain promotion to the Premier League, he soon became a regular first-team player for the club. He scored as Bolton beat Manchester United at Old Trafford in both of his first two seasons in the top tier of English football, as well as important goals that helped Bolton regularly finish in the top half of the Premier League table. Sam Allardyce
Samuel Allardyce (; born 19 October 1954), colloquially referred to as Big Sam, is an English football manager and former professional player. Allardyce made 578 league and cup appearances in a 21-year career spent mostly in the Football League, as well as brief spells in the North American Soccer League and League of Ireland. He was signed by Bolton Wanderers from Dudley Town in 1969 and spent nine years at Bolton, helping the club to win the Second Division title in 1977–78. Birkirkara (abbreviated as B'Kara) is a city in the central region of Malta. It is the second most populous on the island, with 24,356 inhabitants as of 2020.
