2015–16 Weber State Wildcats Men's Basketball Team
The 2015–16 Weber State Wildcats men's basketball team represented Weber State University during the 2015–16 NCAA Division I men's basketball season. The Wildcats were led by tenth-year head coach Randy Rahe and played their home games at the Dee Events Center in Ogden, Utah. They were members of the Big Sky Conference. The Wilsdcats finished the season 26–9, 15–3 in Big Sky play to win the regular season championship. They defeated Portland State, North Dakota, and Montana in the Big Sky tournament. to earn the conference's automatic bid to the NCAA tournament. As a No. 15 seed in the NCAA Tournament, they lost to Xavier in the first round. Randy Rahe
Randy Michael Rahe (born June 12, 1960) is an American former college basketball coach who was the head men's basketball coach at Weber State University. He was hired on March 23, 2006, as the 9th coach in Weber State's 47-year history. Rahe announced his retirement May 16, 2022 through the University, Rahe came to WSU from the University of Utah where he was an assistant under former coach Ray Giacoletti. Rahe was also an assistant under Stew Morrill for 13 seasons, first at Colorado State University and then at Utah State University. Rahe posted a record of 54–17 as a high school coach in Colorado from 1985 to 1988. He has also been an assistant coach at Colorado College, Colorado and Denver. Born in Bancroft, Iowa, Rahe graduated from Buena Vista University located in Storm Lake, Iowa in 1982. At BVU he played point guard in basketball and shortstop in baseball. Myerscough College (pronounced as ''Myers-coe'') is a Higher and Further Education college near Bilsborrow on the Fylde in Lancashire, England. Origins Myerscough College was founded on 15 March 1894 as the ''Lancashire County Institute of Agriculture''. The college's origins began in 1890, when the then newly formed Lancashire County Council set up a sub-committee with the remit of making grants available to help local agriculture. The Chairman of the Farming Sub Committee, Reverend Leonard Charles Wood, was responsible for overseeing the purchase and management of a new educational establishment for agriculture. The UCCS Mountain Lions is the official name of the athletic teams that represent the University of Colorado Colorado Springs, located in Colorado Springs, Colorado, in NCAA Division II intercollegiate sports.
