2015–16 Watford F.C. Season
The 2015–16 season was Watford's 135th year in existence and first season back in the Premier League after gaining promotion the previous season. This season Watford participated in the Premier League, FA Cup and League Cup. The season covers the period from 1 July 2015 to 30 June 2016. Pre-season friendlies On 14 May 2015, Watford announced they would travel to Wimbledon on 11 July in a pre-season friendly. On 10 June, a trip to Germany was confirmed. On 18 June, ''the Hornets'' announced 2015 UEFA Europa League winners Sevilla would visit on 1 August. A day later, a fifth pre-season friendly was confirmed against Cardiff City. On 1 July, Watford announced they will kick pre-season off with a trip to St Albans City. On 10 July, ''the Hornets'' confirmed they would travel to Scotland to face Dundee United on 25 July. Watford F
Watford () is a town and borough in Hertfordshire, England, 15 miles northwest of Central London, on the River Colne. Initially a small market town, the Grand Junction Canal encouraged the construction of paper-making mills, print works, and breweries. While industry has declined in Watford, its location near London and transport links has attracted several companies to site their headquarters in the town. Cassiobury Park is a public park that was once the manor estate of the Earls of Essex. The town developed next to the River Colne on land belonging to St Albans Abbey. In the 12th century, a charter was granted allowing a market, and the building of St Mary's Church began. The town grew partly due to travellers going to Berkhamsted Castle and the royal palace at Kings Langley. A mansion was built at Cassiobury in the 16th century. Norbiton
Norbiton is an area within the Royal Borough of Kingston upon Thames, London. It lies approximately east of Kingston upon Thames town centre, and from Charing Cross. Its main landmarks include Kingston Hospital, Kingsmeadow football stadium, Kingston Cemetery and St Peter's Anglican parish church which serves the area. Kingsmeadow
Kingsmeadow is a football stadium in Norbiton, Kingston upon Thames, London, which is used for home matches by Chelsea Women and Chelsea U21s. It was formerly the home of Kingstonian F.C. and AFC Wimbledon and has a capacity of 4,850, with 2,265 seats. History The stadium was the home of Kingstonian F.C. from 1989, when they built the entire complex on the site following the sale of their traditional Richmond Road ground. Fernando Martin Forestieri (born 15 January 1990) is a professional footballer who plays as a second striker for Malaysia Super League club Johor Darul Ta'zim. Georgie Francomb (born 8 September 1991) is an English professional footballer who plays for Dorking Wanderers. He can also play at right-back. Career Early years Francomb joined the academy of Premier League side Tottenham Hotspur at the age of 9 and remained with the club until he was released at the age of 14. Callum Ewan Kennedy (born 9 November 1989) is an English professional footballer who plays as a defender for Dorking Wanderers. St Albans
St Albans () is a cathedral city in Hertfordshire, England, east of Hemel Hempstead and west of Hatfield, north-west of London, south-west of Welwyn Garden City and south-east of Luton. Clarence Park (St Albans)
Clarence Park is a Victorian park used for sports and leisure in St Albans, England. It is still largely in its original form and has a rich variety of trees and planting. It is close to St Albans City railway station. Overview The park was laid out in early 1894, and comprises a municipal sports ground and a public park and pleasure ground. The benefactor, Sir John Maple, the owner of Maple's furniture store in Tottenham Court Road and who lived at nearby Childwickbury, donated the land and paid for the laying out, the planting and the construction of the buildings; the layout of the park itself was designed by the City Surveyor, Mr G. Connor Michael Smith (born 18 February 1993) is an Irish footballer who plays as a midfielder for National League side Barnet, where he is also assistant manager.
