2015–16 VCU Rams Men's Basketball Team
The 2015–16 VCU Rams men's basketball team represented Virginia Commonwealth University during the 2015–16 NCAA Division I men's basketball season. It was the 48th season of the University fielding a men's basketball program. The program was led by Will Wade (basketball), Will Wade, who was leading the program for his first season after previously coaching Chattanooga Mocs basketball, Chattanooga. Wade replaced former head coach, Shaka Smart, who resigned from VCU for the vacancy at Texas Longhorns men's basketball, Texas. Led by a core of rising juniors and seniors, including Mo Alie-Cox and Melvin Johnson, the Rams finished the season 25–11, 14–4 in 2015–16 Atlantic 10 Conference men's basketball season, A-10 play to finish tied for the A-10 conference championship. Will Wade (basketball)
Frank Williams Wade (born November 26, 1982) is an American college basketball coach who serves as the head men's basketball coach at NC State Wolfpack men's basketball, North Carolina State University. He previously coached at Chattanooga Mocs men's basketball, Chattanooga (2013–2015), VCU Rams men's basketball, VCU (2015–2017), LSU Tigers men's basketball, LSU (2017–2022), and McNeese Cowboys basketball, McNeese State (2023–2025) Assistant coach Will Wade began his career as the student manager of the Clemson men's basketball team from 2002 to 2005. Terry Larrier
Terry Elijah Larrier (born August 15, 1995) is an American professional basketball player who last played for the Santos del Potosí of the Liga Nacional de Baloncesto Profesional. He played college basketball for the VCU Rams and the UConn Huskies. College career Larrier first played college basketball with the VCU Rams, then departed after the 2014–15 season to join the Connecticut Huskies. Due to NCAA regulations, Larrier redshirted during the Huskies' 2015–16 season. He then injured his left knee and tore his ACL four games into the 2016–17 season. Brianté Weber (born December 29, 1992) is an American professional basketball player for Dinamo Sassari of the Lega Basket Serie A (LBA). He played college basketball for the VCU Rams. High school career Weber attended Great Bridge High School where he averaged 17 points, eight rebounds, five assists and four steals per game as a senior, earning the All-Southeastern District Defensive Player of the Year award during his junior and senior seasons. The 2014–15 Dayton Flyers men's basketball team represented the University of Dayton during the 2014–15 NCAA Division I men's basketball season.
