2015–16 UTSA Roadrunners Men's Basketball Team
The 2015–16 UTSA Roadrunners men's basketball team represented the University of Texas at San Antonio during the 2015–16 NCAA Division I men's basketball season. The Roadrunners, led by tenth-year head coach Brooks Thompson, played their home games at the Convocation Center and were members of Conference USA. They finished the season 5-27, 3-15 in C-USA play to finish in last place. They lost in the first round of the C-USA tournament to Florida Atlantic. On March 10, 2016, head coach Brooks Thompson was fired. He finished at UTSA with a 10-year record of 130–176. On April 1, the school hired Steven Hensen as head coach. Brooks Thompson
Brooks James Thompson (July 19, 1970 – June 9, 2016) was an American basketball coach and player, who played for the Orlando Magic, Utah Jazz, Denver Nuggets, Phoenix Suns and New York Knicks of the National Basketball Association (NBA). College career Thompson, a tall point guard, attended and played high school basketball at Littleton High, in Littleton, Colorado. He was named the Colorado Player of the Year in 1989, and he led Littleton to a 24–0 record, and the state's 4A title. After high school, Thompson played college basketball at Texas A&M University. He played with the school's men's team, the Texas A&M Aggies, from 1989 to 1991. Thompson also played college basketball at Oklahoma State University, where he played with the Oklahoma State Cowboys, from 1992 to 1994. Desert Mountain High School (DMHS) is a public high school in northeast Scottsdale, Arizona, which opened in the fall of 1995. It is the newest of five high schools in the Scottsdale Unified School District. The Utah Utes men's basketball team, also known as the Runnin' Utes, represents the University of Utah as an NCAA Division I program that plays in the Big-12 Conference, Big-12.
