2015–16 Louisiana–Monroe Warhawks Men's Basketball Team
The 2015–16 Louisiana–Monroe Warhawks men's basketball team represented the University of Louisiana at Monroe in the 2015–16 NCAA Division I men's basketball season. The Warhawks were led by sixth year head coach Keith Richard, played their home games at Fant–Ewing Coliseum and were members of the Sun Belt Conference. They finished the season 20–14, 15–5 in Sun Belt play to finish in second place. They defeated Texas–Arlington in the semifinals of the Sun Belt tournament to advance to the championship game where they lost to Little Rock. Keith Richard (basketball)
Keith Gerard Richard (born January 10, 1960) is a former American college basketball coach. He coached at the University of Louisiana at Monroe and Louisiana Tech University. Born in Baton Rouge, Louisiana, Richard earned a B.A. in business (1982) and M.A. in counseling (1986) from Northeast Louisiana University, now the University of Louisiana at Monroe. As a senior on the Northeast Louisiana basketball team, Richard started 29 of 30 games and averaged 4.5 points per game. Richard was on the Northeast Louisiana teams that won the Trans American Athletic Conference regular season titles in 1979, 1980, and 1982 and conference tournament in 1982. Richard is the active leader and 2nd all-time in Sun Belt Conference wins with 124. Williams Arena
Williams Arena is an indoor arena located in Minneapolis, Minnesota. It is the home arena for the University of Minnesota's men's and women's basketball teams. It also housed the men's hockey team until 1993, when it moved into its own building, 3M Arena at Mariucci. The building is popularly known as The Barn, and its student section is known as "The Barnyard". 2015–16 Minnesota Golden Gophers Men's Basketball Team
The 2015–16 Minnesota Golden Gophers men's basketball team represented the University of Minnesota in the 2015–16 NCAA Division I men's basketball season. Led by third year head coach Richard Pitino, the Golden Gophers were members of the Big Ten Conference and played their home games at Williams Arena in Minneapolis, Minnesota. They finished the season 8–23, 2–16 in Big Ten play to finish in 13th place. They lost in the first round of the Big Ten tournament to Illinois. The season was marred by the suspensions of three players, Kevin Dorsey, Nate Mason and Dupree McBrayer, on March 1, 2016 for allegedly posting a sex video online. Two human polls make up the 2015–16 NCAA Division I men's basketball rankings, the AP Poll and the Coaches Poll, in addition to various publications' preseason polls. Legend AP Poll USA Today Coaches Poll The Coaches Poll is the second oldest poll still in use after the AP Poll. It is compiled by a rotating group of 31 college Division I head coaches. The Poll operates by Borda count. Each voting member ranks teams from 1 to 25. Each team then receives points for their ranking in reverse order: Number 1 earns 25 points, number 2 earns 24 points, and so forth. The points are then combined and the team with the highest points is then ranked No. 1; second highest is ranked No. 2 and so forth. Only the top 25 teams with points are ranked, with teams receiving first place votes noted the quantity next to their name. The maximum points a single team can earn is 775. Harker Heights is a city in Bell County, Texas, United States. As of the 2020 census, 33,097 people resided in the city, up from a population of 17,308 in 2000.
