2015–16 Louisiana–Lafayette Ragin' Cajuns Men's Basketball Team
The 2015–16 Louisiana–Lafayette Ragin' Cajuns men's basketball team represented the University of Louisiana at Lafayette during the 2015–16 NCAA Division I men's basketball season. The Ragin' Cajuns, led by sixth year head coach Bob Marlin, played their home games at the Cajundome and were members of the Sun Belt Conference. They finished the season 19–15, 12–8 in Sun Belt play to finish in fourth place. They defeated South Alabama to advance to the semifinals of the Sun Belt tournament where they lost to Arkansas–Little Rock. They were invited to the CollegeInsider.com Tournament where they defeated Texas A&M–Corpus Christi and Furman to advance to the quarterfinals where they lost to UC Irvine. Bob Marlin
Robert Lee Marlin (born March 5, 1959) is an American college basketball coach who is the former head men's basketball coach for the Louisiana Ragin’ Cajuns men’s basketball team. He was relieved of his coaching duties on December 19, 2024. Previously, he was the head coach at Sam Houston State from 1998 to 2010. Early life and education Born in Tupelo, Mississippi, Marlin graduated from Mississippi State University in 1981 with a B.S. in physical education. Marlin completed a master's degree in health and physical education at Northeast Louisiana University (now the University of Louisiana at Monroe) in 1983. Bryce Washington (born January 25, 1996) is an American professional basketball player for Elitzur Netanya of the Israeli Premier League. He played college basketball for the University of Louisiana at Lafayette, where he earned a spot in the First-team All-Sun Belt Conference in 2018. High school career Washington attended St. Augustine in New Orleans, Louisiana, where he lettered in both basketball and baseball. Frank Bartley
Frank Bartley IV (born February 25, 1994) is an American professional basketball player for PAOK of the Greek Basketball League (GBL). He played college basketball for the BYU Cougars and the Louisiana Ragin' Cajuns. Early life Bartley was born and grew up in Baton Rouge, Louisiana, and attended Christian Life Academy, where he played basketball and football. As a senior, he averaged 14.2 points and 6.7 rebounds and was named the District 7-1A co-MVP, All-Metro, and Class 1A All-State by the Louisiana Sports Writers Association. Elijah Lamont McGuire Jr. (born June 1, 1994) is an American former football running back who played in the National Football League (NFL). He played college football for the UL Lafayette Ragin' Cajuns. Early life McGuire attended and played high school football for Vandebilt Catholic High School. He was selected to the all-state first-team as an athlete by The Louisiana Sports Writers Association as a senior.
