2015–16 Eastern Michigan Eagles Men's Basketball Team
The 2015–16 Eastern Michigan Eagles men's basketball team represented Eastern Michigan University during the 2015–16 NCAA Division I men's basketball season. The Eagles, led by fifth year head coach Rob Murphy, played their home games at the Convocation Center, as members of the West Division of the Mid-American Conference. They finished the season 18–15, 9–9 in MAC play to finish in a tie for third place in the West Division. They defeated Toledo in the first round of the MAC tournament to advance to the quarterfinals where they lost to Akron. Previous season The Eagles finished the season 21–14, 8–10 in MAC play to finish in a tie for fourth place in the West Division. Rob Murphy (basketball)
Robert Lewis Murphy Sr. (born September 19, 1973) is an American former basketball executive, coach and player. He was most recently employed as the assistant general manager of the Detroit Pistons of the National Basketball Association (NBA) and the president and general manager of the Motor City Cruise of the NBA G League, the affiliate of the Pistons. He previously served as the head men's basketball coach for the Eastern Michigan Eagles men's basketball, Eastern Michigan Eagles from 2011 to 2021. College Rob Murphy attended and played for Central State University basketball program in Wilberforce, Ohio, from 1992 to 1996. Murphy was a two-time team captain during his junior and senior campaigns. Wayne State Warriors
The Wayne State Warriors are the athletic teams that represent Wayne State University, located in Detroit, Michigan, in NCAA Division II intercollegiate sporting competitions. The Warriors compete as members of the Great Lakes Intercollegiate Athletic Conference (GLIAC) for all 16 varsity sports. The Warriors have been members of the GLIAC since 1975. Binghamton Bearcats Men's Basketball
The Binghamton Bearcats men's basketball team represents Binghamton University and is located in Vestal, New York. The team currently competes in the America East Conference and plays its home games at the Binghamton University Events Center. Since becoming an NCAA Division I basketball program in 2001, the team has played in one NCAA Division I men's basketball tournament in 2009.
