The 2015–16 CAA men's basketball season marked the 31st season of Colonial Athletic Association basketball, taking place between November 2015 and March 2016. Practices commenced in October 2015, and the season ended with the 2016 CAA men's basketball tournament. National Collegiate Athletic Association
The National Collegiate Athletic Association (NCAA) is a nonprofit organization that regulates College athletics in the United States, student athletics among about 1,100 schools in the United States, and Simon Fraser University, 1 in Canada. It also organizes the Athletics (physical culture), athletic programs of colleges and helps over 500,000 college student athletes who compete annually in college sports. The headquarters is located in Indianapolis, Indiana. Until the 1956–57 academic year, the NCAA was a single division for all schools. Quincy Ford
Quincy G. Ford (born January 20, 1993) is an American professional basketball player who last played for Czarni Słupsk of the Polish Basketball League (PLK). He played college basketball for Northeastern University. High school career A forward from St. Petersburg, Florida, Ford was homeschooled but played basketball for Gibbs High School. As a senior, he led Gibbs to two district titles, a regional title and an appearance in the state final four. College career He played college basketball for Northeastern and was the first homeschooled player that coach Bill Coen recruited. Royal Farms Arena
CFG Bank Arena is a multipurpose arena in Baltimore, Maryland. This venue is located about one block away from the Baltimore Convention Center on the corner of Baltimore Street and Hopkins Place in downtown Baltimore. With a seating capacity of up to 14,000 for concerts, CFG Bank Arena is owned by the City of Baltimore and managed by the Oak View Group, a global sports and entertainment company. Tony Shaver
Tony Shaver (born January 28, 1954) is an American college basketball coach. From the 2003–04 through 2018–19 seasons, he was the head men's basketball coach at the College of William & Mary. He arrived at William & Mary after a 17-year tenure as the head coach at Hampden-Sydney College. He leaves as the winningest coach in William & Mary history and finished with an overall record of 226 wins and 268 losses. Shaver played college basketball under Dean Smith at North Carolina from 1972 until 1976, making the team as a walk-on and playing with such Tar Heel greats as Mitch Kupchak, Tom LaGarde, Phil Ford and Walter Davis on a team that twice went to the NCAA tournament. Kevin Keatts
Kevin Andre Keatts (born July 28, 1972) is an American college basketball coach who was most recently the head coach at NC State Wolfpack men's basketball, North Carolina State University. Early life and playing career Keatts grew up as an only child in Lynchburg, Virginia. His father was a masonry instructor at Amherst County High School, and Keatts worked as his apprentice on the weekends. He attended Heritage High School (Lynchburg, Virginia), Heritage High School and played point guard on their basketball team as well as quarterback on their football team. As starting quarterback, Keatts led the football team to be ranked the best in the state, losing only one game his entire career. Patrick Joseph Skerry (born January 21, 1970) is the head coach of the Towson Tigers men's basketball, Towson University Tigers men's basketball team. Biography Playing career Skerry played collegiate basketball at Tufts University where he set the school record for career assists (634) and single-season assists (198). Coaching career After graduation, Skerry joined his alma mater's coaching staff, where he spent three seasons before moving on to Stonehill College for the 1995–96 season. Bill Coen (born May 3, 1961) is an American college basketball coach and the current head men's basketball coach at the Northeastern University (Boston, Massachusetts), Northeastern University. He was previously an assistant coach under Al Skinner at Boston College and University of Rhode Island, Rhode Island. Joe Mihalich
Joseph Anthony Mihalich (born August 29, 1956) is an American former college basketball coach and current Special Assistant to the Head Coach at La Salle University. Mihalich was previously the men's basketball head coach at Hofstra University from 2013–2021. Prior to that, he led Niagara to two NCAA tournaments, in 2005 and 2007, and three NIT Tournaments, in 2004, 2009 and 2013. He received the Skip Prosser Man of the Year Award in 2013. Matt Matheny
Matt Matheny (born February 11, 1970) is an American college basketball coach who most recently served as the men's head coach at Elon University. He replaced Ernie Nestor in March 2009. Matheny led the Phoenix to a 21-12 record in 2012-13, the most victories in a single season by the program at the Division I level and most since the 1973-74 season. Matheny helped Elon win the Southern Conference North Division title in 2013, the program's first division crown since 2006. James "Bruiser" Flint (born July 23, 1965) is an American men's college basketball coach, currently an assistant coach at Arkansas Razorbacks men's basketball, Arkansas. He was most recently the head coach at Drexel University. Collegiate playing career Flint is a 1987 graduate of Saint Joseph's University. While attending St. Joe's, Flint was a member of the school's varsity basketball team.
