2015–16 Abilene Christian Wildcats Women's Basketball Team
The 2015–16 Abilene Christian Wildcats women's basketball team represented Abilene Christian University in Texas, United States during the 2015–16 NCAA Division I women's basketball season. The Wildcats, led by third year head coach Julie Goodenough and played their home games at the Moody Coliseum. This was the third year of a 4-year transition phase from D2 to D1, In the third year of transition, Abilene Christian could not participate in the Southland Tournament, but was a Division I counter and was part of the Division I rpi calculation. The Wildcats played a full conference schedule in 2015–16. Although they weren't eligible for the Southland Conference and NCAA tournaments, the Wildcats did compete in the WNIT where they lost in the first round to UTEP. Julie Goodenough
Julie Ann Goodenough (née Roewe; born March 25, 1969) is an American college basketball coach who is currently the head women's basketball coach at Abilene Christian. Bramlage Coliseum
Fred Bramlage Coliseum is a multi-purpose indoor arena in Manhattan, Kansas, with an official capacity of 11,000. It is the home to the Kansas State University men's and women's basketball teams, and used to serve as the venue for Kansas State's women's volleyball team. The facility currently holds offices for various administrative and business units for K-State Athletics, and the track & field team. Bramlage was previously the home for other K-State team offices, including women's soccer and baseball. The Wildcats were led by second-year head coach Jeff Mittie. They played their home games at Bramlage Coliseum in Manhattan, Kansas and were members of the Big 12 Conference. They finished the season 19–13, 8–10 in Big 12 play to finish in a tie for sixth place. They lost in the quarterfinals of the Big 12 women's tournament to West Virginia. They received an at-large bid to the NCAA women's tournament, where they defeated George Washington in the first round before losing to South Carolina in the second round.
