Laval Comets
The Laval Comets () was a Canadian women's soccer team established in 2006 in the city of Laval, Quebec, Canada, a northern suburb of Montreal. The team was a member of the W-League, the second tier of women’s soccer in the United States and Canada. The team played its home games at the Centre Sportif Bois-de-Boulogne. The club's colours were light blue and dark blue. History The Comets were founded in 2005 by Pierre Marchand, a Laval businessman, following the demise of the Montreal Xtreme (2004) and Dynamites de Laval (1997-2001). Marchand was joined by 3 partners, the Montreal Impact, Centre Sportif Bois-de-Boulogne, and the Fédération de soccer du Québec, who assured the operation of the team for a minimum of three years. Russell James Teibert (born December 22, 1992) is a Canadian former professional soccer player who played his entire career for Vancouver Whitecaps FC. Club career Youth and amateur Teibert attended St. Paul High School (Ontario) in Niagara Falls, Ontario, and is of German and Italian descent. The 2015 Jubilee Trophy is the national championship for women's soccer clubs competing at division 4 and below in the Canadian soccer pyramid. It was held in Calgary, Alberta from October 8–12, 2015. Teams Eight teams were granted entry into the competition; one from each Canadian province excluding New Brunswick and Prince Edward Island. London Marconi Soccer Club is a Canadian Association football, soccer club based in London, Ontario, that plays in the Western Ontario Soccer League.
