2015 World Archery Championships – Women's Individual Recurve
The women's individual recurve competition at the 2015 World Archery Championships took place from 27 July to 2 August 2015 in Copenhagen, Denmark. The defending champion from the 2013 championship was Maja Jager of Denmark. The top 8 competitors, excluding those whose countries earned team qualifying spots in the team event, earned an individual qualifying spot for their country for the 2016 Summer Olympics. Only 1 spot per country could be earned this way. An Olympic Secondary Tournament was held to rank competitors reaching the same round. Schedule All times are local ( UTC+01:00). Wu Jiaxin ( zh, s=吴佳欣, p=Wú Jiāxīn; born February 28, 1997) is a Chinese competitive archer. She has won a career total of two medals, a silver and a bronze, on her international archery debut at the 2013 World Youth Championships in Wuxi, and eventually finished as a quarter-finalist in the individual recurve tournament at the 2016 Summer Olympics. Yuan Shu-chi (; born 9 November 1984 in Nantou County) is an athlete from Chinese Taipei. She competes in archery. 2004 Summer Olympics Yuan represented the Republic of China (as Chinese Taipei) at the 2004 Summer Olympics. She was placed 6th in the women's individual ranking round, with a 72-arrow score of 658. In the first elimination round, she faced 59th-ranked Kateryna Palekha of Ukraine. Veronika Serhiyivna Marchenko (; born 3 April 1993) is a Ukrainian competitive archery, archer. She has collected medals in major international competitions, spanning the World Indoor Championships, the European Games, and the European Championships. Natalia Valeeva (born 15 November 1969 in Tîrnauca, Transnistria) is a naturalized Italian archer. She is a five-time Olympian and former world number one, and a native of Moldova, having represented the Unified Team, Moldova and Italy, at the Olympic Games of 1992, 1996, 2000, 2004, 2008 and 2012. Kaori Kawanaka
is a Japanese archer who competed at the 2012 and 2016 Olympic Games. Kawanaka won a bronze medal at the 2012 Summer Olympics in the women's team event with teammates Ren Hayakawa and Miki Kanie. Their success, which came after a narrow victory over Russia in the third-place match, marked the first Olympic medal for Japan in team archery.
