2015 NACRA Women's Sevens
The 2015 North America Caribbean Rugby Association, NACRA Women's Sevens Championships was an Olympic qualification tournament for Rugby sevens at the 2016 Summer Olympics held at WakeMed Soccer Park in Cary, North Carolina, United States, USA on 13–14 June 2015. It was the 11th championship in North America and Caribbean Women's Sevens Championship, a series that began in 2005. The tournament used a round-robin format, with the top team qualifying directly to the Olympics, and the second and third place teams qualifying for the Rugby sevens at the 2016 Summer Olympics – Women's qualification, Olympic Qualification Tournament. 2014 NACRA Women's Sevens
The 2014 NACRA Women's Sevens was the tenth tournament of the North America and Caribbean Women's Sevens Championship, the official rugby sevens continental championships organized by North America Caribbean Rugby Association, NACRA. Both the women's and men's competitions were held at the Campo Marte in Mexico City, Mexico on 3–4 December 2014. Eight national teams competed in the women's tournament. Mexico as the winner qualified to compete at the Rugby sevens at the 2015 Pan American Games, 2015 Pan American Games in Toronto, Canada. 2015 NACRA Sevens
The 2015 NACRA Sevens was an Olympic qualification tournament for Rugby sevens at the 2016 Summer Olympics held in the United States at WakeMed Soccer Park in Cary, North Carolina on 13–14 June 2015. The teams were split into two groups. The top two teams in each group advanced to the semi-finals. The winning team qualified directly to the Olympics, and the second and third placed teams advanced to the Olympic Qualification Tournament. Pools Note: The team from Saint Vincent and the Grenadines was scheduled to participate in Pool A, but withdrew after their players were denied visas to enter the United States. The Rugby Americas North Women's Sevens (RAN Women's Sevens) is the regional championship for women's international rugby sevens in North America and the Caribbean. The tournament is held over two days, typically on a weekend in November. It is sanctioned and sponsored by Rugby Americas North, which is the governing body for the region. Final 2016 Women's Olympic Qualification Tournament
The 2016 Rugby World Women's Sevens Olympic Repechage Tournament was a qualification tournament for the women's rugby sevens 2016 Summer Olympics which was held on 25–26 June 2016. The tournament used a round-robin format, with the top team qualifying directly to the Olympics. The tournament took place at the UCD Bowl in Dublin, Ireland. Teams 1. Kenya, as the runners-up in the African qualifying tournament, would have qualified to this tournament, but instead qualified directly for the Olympics after South Africa withdrew. Madagascar, the fifth-place finisher in qualifying, was named as a replacement. The 2016 RAN Women's Sevens Championship was the twelfth tournament of the RAN Women's Sevens, the official rugby sevens continental championships organized by RAN. Rugby sevens at the 2016 Summer Olympics was held over six days in August 2016 in Rio de Janeiro. The 2016 Olympics was the debut for rugby sevens at the Summer Olympics, though rugby union was last played at the 1924 games. The usual laws of rugby sevens applied.
