2015 IAAF World Relays – Men's Distance Medley Relay
The men's Distance medley relay at the 2015 IAAF World Relays was held at the Thomas Robinson Stadium on 3 May. This was the first time the event was held at a World Championship level meet. The previous world best, set by a Kenyan team in 2006 at the Penn Relays was elevated to World Record status due to the inclusion of the event in the World Relays. The event takes in a 1200 m leg followed by a 400 m leg, then an 800 m leg before finishing with a 1600 m leg. In the first leg, Australian Ryan Gregson took it out in 2:53.15 to take a 5-meter lead over American Kyle Merber with Kenya another 7 meters back. Alexander Beck (athlete), Alexander Beck held the lead but Kenya's Alphas Leken Kishoyian gained a half a second on the leading two teams to pull his team back into contention. Thomas Robinson Stadium
Thomas Robinson Stadium, officially Thomas A. Robinson National Stadium, is a multi-purpose stadium in Nassau, Bahamas. The largest stadium in the country, it is used primarily for Association football, soccer matches. The stadium is also the home of the Bahamas Bowl, an annual NCAA Division I college football (American football) bowl game. The stadium has a capacity of 15,000 people, and can be expanded to hold 23,000 people. It is named after Tom Robinson (sprinter), Thomas A. Alphas Leken Kishoyian (born 12 October 1994) is a Kenyan sprinter. Kishoyian won a silver medal in the 400 metres at the 2011 World Youth Championships in Athletics, losing to Arman Hall. Adam Kszczot
Adam Piotr Kszczot (pronounced ; born 2 September 1989) is a retired Polish middle-distance runner who specialised in the 800 metres. His achievements include silver medals at the 2015 and 2017 World Championships in Athletics, gold at the 2018 World Indoor Championships as well as silver and bronze at the 2014 and 2010 World Indoor Championships respectively. Kszczot won three gold medals in the 800 m at both the European Outdoor and Indoor Championships. He twice competed at the Olympic Games, in 2012 and 2016, narrowly missing the final on both occasions. Kszczot was the 800 m bronze medallist at the 2007 European Under-20 Championships. Łukasz Krawczuk (Polish pronunciation: ; born 15 June 1989) is a Polish sprinter specialising in the 400 metres. He has won two medals in the 4 × 400 metres relay at the European Athletics Championships. Career Krawczuk represented his country in the 4 × 400 metres relay at the 2013 World Championships, as well as two indoor World Championships in 2012 and 2014. He won the bronze medal with the Polish relay team at the 2014 European Championships and silver at the 2015 European Indoor Championships. Alex Kipchirchir Rono (born 26 November 1984 in Sergoit, Uasin Gishu District) is a middle distance runner from Kenya. Career He graduated from Litein High School. He played football and basketball when still at school and did not take up athletics until December 2001, when he met Moses Tanui who persuaded him to become runner. Only seven months later he became World Junior Champion, in his first race outside Kenya. Alfred Kirwa Yego (born 28 November 1986 in Eldoret) is a Kenyan middle-distance runner who specializes in the 800 metres. He is best known for winning the gold medal in the 800 m at the 2007 World Championships. Yego competed at the 2005 World Championships, but did not advance past 800 metres heats.
