The 2015 Big South women's basketball tournament was the postseason women's basketball tournament for the Big South Conference that took place March 3–8, 2015, at the HTC Center in Conway, South Carolina. HTC Center
HTC Center, originally known as the Student Recreation and Convocation Center, is a 3,370-seat multi-purpose arena located on the campus of Coastal Carolina University in Conway, South Carolina. It is home to the Coastal Carolina University men's and women's basketball teams and the women's volleyball teams. The arena replaced Kimbel Arena as Coastal Carolina's basketball and volleyball home. On August 2, 2012, Horry Telephone Cooperative purchased the naming rights to the venue. An earlier planned arena, named YRT2 Arena, was to have opened in 2008. Conway, South Carolina
Conway is a city in Horry County, South Carolina, United States. The population was 24,849 at the 2020 census, up from 17,103 in 2010 census. It is the county seat of Horry County and is part of the Myrtle Beach metropolitan area. It is the home of Coastal Carolina University. The Big South Conference is a collegiate athletic conference affiliated with the NCAA's Division I. 2014–15 NCAA Division I Women's Basketball Season
The 2014–15 NCAA Division I women's basketball season began in November and ended with the Final Four in Tampa, Florida, April 5–7. Practices officially began on October 3. This was the final season in which NCAA women's basketball games were played in 20-minute halves. Beginning with the 2015–16 season, the women's game switched to 10-minute quarters, the standard for FIBA and WNBA play. Season headlines * May 14 – The NCAA announces its Academic Progress Rate (APR) sanctions for the 2014–15 school year.
