The season started on October 12, 2014, and ended June 14, 2015. Olympiacos won the title, after they beat Panathinaikos 3–0 in the Finals. Lavrio, Lavrion or Laurium (; (later ); from Middle Ages until 1908: Εργαστήρια ''Ergastiria'') is a town in southeastern part of Attica, Greece. It is part of Athens metropolitan area and the seat of the municipality of Lavreotiki. Laurium was famous in Classical antiquity for its silver mines, which was one of the chief sources of revenue of the Athenian state. The metallic silver was mainly used for coinage. Koroivos (, before 1955: Κελεβή - ''Kelevi'') is a village in the municipal unit of Gastouni, Elis, Greece. It is situated in a flat rural area, south of the river Pineios. It is 2 km southeast of Lefkochori, 2 km west of Roupaki, 2 km southwest of Agia Mavra and 4 km east of Gastouni. The village was named after Coroebus of Elis, one of the winners of the first Ancient Olympic Games.Today, there is a Cultural Center in the village, while only a kindergarten is open, since the primary school was closed due to lack of children. In the center of the village dominates the temple of Agia Paraskevi, as well as the large square. The small church of the village cemetery, which is preserved to this day, dates from the era of Ottoman rule. The 2014–15 Greek A2 Basket League was the 29th season of the Greek A2 Basket League, the second-tier level professional club basketball league in Greece. The winner of the league was Kavala The clubs that were promoted to the top-tier Greek Basket League were Kavala, Arkadikos, and Lavrio. In contrast, the teams that were relegated to the third tier Greek B Basket League were Filippos Veria, Ermis Lagkada, and Ilysiakos Ilysiakos withdrew from the league in the middle of the season, because of economic debts. All the games of Ilysiakos were given back to their opponents with scores of 20–0. Promotion and relegation is used by sports leagues as a process where teams can move up and down among divisions in a league system, based on their performance over a season. Leagues that use promotion and relegation systems are sometimes called open leagues. In a system of promotion and relegation, the best-ranked team(s) in a lower division are ''promoted'' to a higher division for the next season, and the worst-ranked team(s) in the higher division are ''relegated'' to the lower division for the next season. During the season, teams that are high enough in the league table that they would qualify for promotion are sometimes said to be in the ''promotion zone'', and those at the bottom are in the ''relegation zone'' (colloquially the ''drop zone'' or ''facing the drop'').
