2014–15 Valparaiso Crusaders Men's Basketball Team
The 2014–15 Valparaiso Crusaders men's basketball team represented Valparaiso University during the 2014–15 NCAA Division I men's basketball season. The Crusaders, led by fourth year head coach Bryce Drew, played their home games at the Athletics–Recreation Center and were members of the Horizon League. Valpo finished the season 28–6, 13–3 in Horizon League play to win the Horizon League regular season championship. The Crusaders defeated 2014–15 Cleveland State Vikings men's basketball team, Cleveland State and 2014–15 Green Bay Phoenix men's basketball team, Green Bay to win the 2015 Horizon League men's basketball tournament, Horizon League tournament championship. Valpo received an automatic bid to the 2015 NCAA Division I men's basketball tournament, NCAA tournament as a #13 seed and lost in the second round to 2014–15 Maryland Terrapins men's basketball team, Maryland. Bryce Drew
Bryce Homer Drew (born September 21, 1974) is an American college basketball coach and former player who is the head coach at Grand Canyon University. Previously, he served as the head coach at Vanderbilt and in the same capacity at his alma mater, Valparaiso, having succeeded his father, Homer Drew. Drew has led his teams to the NCAA tournament on six occasions, including at least once at each of the three schools where he has been the head coach. Bryce's older brother, Scott, also coached at Valpo before becoming the head coach of the Baylor Bears. As a player, Bryce Drew was known for his buzzer-beating shot in the first round of Valparaiso's run in the 1998 NCAA tournament.
