2014–15 UC Irvine Anteaters Men's Basketball Team
The 2014–15 UC Irvine Anteaters men's basketball team represented the University of California, Irvine during the 2014–15 NCAA Division I men's basketball season. The Anteaters were led by fifth-year head coach Russell Turner (basketball), Russell Turner and played their home games at the Bren Events Center in Irvine, California. They were members of the Big West Conference and finished the season 21–13, 11–5 in Big West play, to finish in a tie for second place. Russell Turner (basketball)
Russell Devlin Turner (born October 24, 1970) is an American college basketball coach who is the head men's coach at UC Irvine Anteaters men's basketball, UC Irvine, a position he has held since 2010. Playing career As a player at Hampden-Sydney College in Virginia, Turner was the all-time leading scorer in Hampden-Sydney basketball history, tallying 2,272 points, and was the only player ever to score over 2,000 points. Turner holds the Hampden-Sydney record for points in a season (680) and average points in his career (21.6). He earned First Team All-ODAC four times (1989, 1990, 1991, 1992) and was a three-time All-South Region performer (1990, 1991, 1992). Turner also earned ODAC All-Tournament honors three times (1989, 1991, 1992). Turner was a two-time All-American, earning the honor in 1991 and 1992. Turlock is a city in Stanislaus County, California, United States. Its population was 72,740 at the 2020 United States census, making it the second-largest city in Stanislaus County after Modesto.
