The 2014–15 Sydney FC season was the club's 10th season since its establishment in 2004. The club participated in the A-League for the 10th time and the FFA Cup for the first time. Sasa Ognenovski (; born 3 April 1979) is an Australian retired soccer player who played as a central defender, who played for the Australia national team on 22 occasions, and who last played for Sydney FC in the A-League. He is currently work as director of football at Preston Lions. Peter Triantis (born 17 January 1992) is an Australian soccer player who plays as a central midfielder for Bankstown City. Lefteris "Terry" Antonis (; born 26 November 1993) is an Australian soccer player who plays as a midfielder for Thai League 1 side Uthai Thani. Alex Jason Brosque (; born 12 October 1983) is an Australian former professional soccer player who was the captain of A-League club Sydney FC. He played primarily as a striker but played predominantly as a midfielder in central midfield during his time in Japan. Shane Edward Smeltz (born 29 September 1981) is a New Zealand former professional footballer. He plays as a striker.
