2014–15 Rhode Island Rams Women's Basketball Team
The 2014–15 Rhode Island Rams women's basketball team represented the University of Rhode Island during the 2014–15 college basketball season. Daynia La-Force assumes the responsibility as head coach for her first season. The Rams were members of the Atlantic 10 Conference and played their home games at the Ryan Center. They finished the season 17–13, 8–8 in A-10 play to finish in a tie for sixth place. They advanced to the quarterfinals of the A-10 women's tournament, where they lost to Duquesne. 2014–15 media All Rams home games and most conference road games that aren't televised will be shown on the A-10 Digital Network. Daynia La-Force
Daynia La-Force is an American women's basketball coach. She spent 25 years coaching college women's basketball. In 2021, She was an assistant coach with the WNBA's Atlanta Dream. She played college basketball at the Georgetown University. In May 2014, she was hired as head coach of Rhode Island Rams women's basketball after head coaching stints at NCAA Division II, Division II University of New Haven and NCAA Division I, Division I Northeastern Huskies women's basketball, Northeastern University. She also served as an assistant coach at St. John's Red Storm women's basketball, St. John's and LIU Brooklyn Blackbirds women's basketball, LIU Brooklyn. An African American, La-Force became the first minority woman head coach in URI history when she was hired in May 2014. Her son Terance Mann played collegiately for Florida State Seminoles men's basketball, Florida State and currently plays for the NBA's Atlanta Hawks. Costello Athletic Center
Costello Athletic Center is a 2,000-seat multi-purpose arena located at 261 Riverside St. Lowell, Massachusetts. It is home to the University of Massachusetts Lowell River Hawks men's and women's basketball teams. On either side of the gymnasium there are bleachers overlooking the court for spectators to watch. In 2020, the building was renovated by Beacon Architectural Associates. The renovations include a new team room, expansion of the training room, and renovations to the locker room and bathrooms.
