2014–15 Miami Hurricanes Men's Basketball Team
The 2014–15 Miami Hurricanes men's basketball team represented the University of Miami during the 2014–15 NCAA Division I men's basketball season. The Hurricanes, led by fourth year head coach Jim Larrañaga, played their home games at the BankUnited Center and were members of the Atlantic Coast Conference. The team had wins at Duke, Syracuse and Florida, all on the road. They finished the season 25–13, 10–8 in ACC play to finish in a tie for sixth place. They advanced to the quarterfinals of the ACC tournament where they lost to Notre Dame. They were invited to the National Invitation Tournament, where they defeated North Carolina Central, Alabama, Richmond and Temple to advance to the NIT championship game where they lost to Stanford. Jim Larrañaga
James Joseph Larrañaga Sr ( ; born October 2, 1949) is a former college basketball coach. He was most recently the head coach of the University of Miami Hurricanes men's basketball team from 2011 to 2024 when he retired. Before joining the University of Miami, Larrañaga was the head men's basketball coach at American International College from 1977 to 1979, Bowling Green State University from 1986 to 1997, and George Mason University from 1997 to 2011, where he coached the Patriots to 13 consecutive winning seasons and became a media sensation during the Patriots' improbable run to the Final Four in the 2005–2006 season. In the 2022–23 season, he led the Miami Hurricanes to their first Final Four appearance in program history. Harcum College
Harcum College is a private associate degree-granting college in Bryn Mawr, Pennsylvania. It was founded in 1915 and was the first college in Pennsylvania authorized to grant associate degrees. History Edith Hatcher, daughter of prominent Virginia clergyman and educator William E. Hatcher, was a talented concert pianist. In 1913, Edith Hatcher married Octavius Marvin Harcum. Marshall Thundering Herd Men's Basketball
The Marshall Thundering Herd men's basketball team represents Marshall University in Huntington, West Virginia, United States. They compete in the National Collegiate Athletic Association, NCAA Division I (NCAA), Division I as a member of the Sun Belt Conference. James Kelly (born August 12, 1993) is an American professional basketball player who last played for the Birmingham Squadron of the NBA G League. He played college basketball for Owens Community College, University of Miami and Marshall University before playing professionally in South Korea, Israel and Greece. Apex, North Carolina
Apex () is a town in Wake County, North Carolina, United States. At its southern border, Apex encompasses the community of Friendship. In 1994, the downtown area was designated a historic district, and the Apex train depot, built in 1867, is designated a Wake County landmark.
