2014–15 MOL Liga Season
The 2014–15 MOL Liga season was the seventh season of the MOL Liga. The league was a multi-national ice hockey league consisting of teams from Hungary, Romania, and Slovakia. HC Nové Zámky were the defending Champions after defeating ASC Corona BraÅŸov in the 2014 Championship. MOL Liga
The Erste Liga (formerly the MOL Liga) is an international ice hockey league organized for clubs based in Hungary and Romania. It is sponsored by the Erste Bank Hungary. The games played between the Hungarian teams count towards the Hungarian National Championship in the OB I Bajnokság. The Romanian teams also compete in the Romanian National Championship Liga NaÈ›ională. The last 6* seasons have been won by Romanian teams: HSC CsÃkszereda three times, Gyergyói HK twice and Corona BraÈ™ov once. ''* The season 2019–20 (Covid) recognized both Ferencvárosi TC and HSC CsÃkszereda as winners.'' History In the first season, the league comprised six Hungarian teams and four Romanian teams. Miskolc Ice Hall () is a multi-purpose indoor arena in Miskolc, Hungary. It is primarily used for ice sports and is the home arena of Hungarian top division ice hockey club Miskolci JJSE. Construction The Municipality of Miskolc decided in the summer of 2004 to build an ice rink in the People's Garden, next to the municipal sports arena. The initial plans were to cover the ice rink with awning at an estimated cost of 310 million Hungarian Forint (approximately US$1.5 million), thus the ice season could be extended. In 2005, however, the representative body of the local government voted for the construction of a multifunctional hall.
