2014–15 ISU Challenger Series
The 2014–15 ISU Challenger Series was held from September to December 2014. It was the inaugural season of the ISU Challenger Series: a group of senior-level international figure skating competitions. Competitions This season, the series included the following events. The 2014 Triglav Trophy was originally scheduled for November 6–9, 2014, but it was removed from the calendar as a Challenger Series event. ISU Challenger Series
The ISU Challenger Series is a series of international figure skating competitions. Established by the International Skating Union in the 2014–15 figure skating season, 2014–15 season, it is a group of senior-level events ranked below the ISU Grand Prix of Figure Skating. Each event consists of at least three disciplines out of four (Single skating, men's singles, ladies' singles, pair skating, and ice dancing), and is required to take place between August 1 and December 15. The ISU Challenger Series Synchronized Skating is a separate competition series in the discipline of synchronized skating. History The ISU Council decided to create the series at its February 2014 meeting. Eleven competitions were selected in June 2014. The Triglav Trophy dropped out by October 10, 2014, resulting in a series composed of ten events. Takahito Mura
is a Japanese former competitive figure skater. He is the 2014 Four Continents champion, 2014 Skate Canada International champion, and 2012 Trophée Éric Bompard champion. Nationally, he is a five-time Japan Championships bronze medalist and 2007 Japan Junior champion. Personal life Takahito Mura was born in Matsudo, Chiba, Japan. His father, Takashi, competed internationally in both singles and pairs, and his mother also competed in figure skating. In 2013, he married his wife and had a daughter, Kanna. Career Mura placed fifth at the 2006 World Junior Championships. He won two medals on the Junior Grand Prix circuit in 2006 and qualified for the Junior Grand Prix Final, where he placed just off the podium. Richard Dornbush
Richard Dornbush (born August 27, 1991) is a retired American former figure skater. He is the 2014 Lombardia Trophy champion, the 2010–11 Grand Prix Final champion, and the 2011 U.S. National silver medalist. Personal life Richard Dornbush was born in Corona, California. He has three older sisters. He played the violin for six years. After studying physics at Riverside Community College, he transferred to the University of California, San Diego and joined Earl Warren College. As of 2016, he was an undergraduate student in computational physics and intended to pursue a master's degree and a career in finance with a focus on quantitative analysis. Career Richard Dornbush was coached by Tammy Gambill since 1997 at Icetown Riverside in Riverside, California. Daisuke Murakami (figure Skater)
is a Japanese figure skater. He is the 2014 NHK Trophy champion, 2011 Ondrej Nepela Memorial champion, and 2009 Japan Junior bronze medalist. Earlier in his career, he represented the United States, winning a bronze medal on the ISU Junior Grand Prix series and the 2006 U.S. junior national pewter medal. In 2011, Murakami became the first to land the quad salchow jump in the men's category at the Japan Championships. Ross Miner
Ross Miner (born January 24, 1991) is an American skating coach and retired competitive figure skater. He is the 2012 Four Continents Figure Skating Championships, Four Continents bronze medalist, 2009 ISU Junior Grand Prix, JGP Final bronze medalist, 2013 and 2018 United States Figure Skating Championships, U.S. national silver medalist and 2009 U.S. junior champion. Max Aaron
Maxwell Theodore "Max" Aaron (born February 25, 1992) is an American former figure skater. He is the 2013 U.S. national champion, the 2015 Skate America champion, the 2011 U.S. national junior champion, and a three-time U.S. International Classic champion (2012, 2013, and 2014).
