2014–15 Green Bay Phoenix Men's Basketball Team
The 2014–15 Green Bay Phoenix men's basketball team represented the University of Wisconsin–Green Bay in the 2014–15 NCAA Division I men's basketball season. Their head coach was fifth year coach Brian Wardle. The Phoenix played their home games at the Resch Center and were members of the Horizon League. They finished the season 24–9, 12–4 in Horizon League play to finish in second place. They advanced to the semifinals of the Horizon League tournament where they lost to Valparaiso. They were invited to the National Invitation Tournament where they lost in the first round to Illinois State. Keifer Sykes was named the Horizon League Player of the Year for the second year in a row. Jordan Fouse won conference All-Defensive team honors. Brian Wardle (basketball)
Brian M. Wardle (born October 9, 1979) is an American college basketball coach and the current men's basketball coach at Bradley University. Early life and education Born in Clarendon Hills, Illinois, Wardle graduated from Hinsdale Central High School in nearby Hinsdale in 1997. At Hinsdale Central, Wardle earned two all-state basketball honors and broke scoring and rebounding records in school history. After high school, Wardle played for Marquette University at guard from 1997 to 2001, under head coach Mike Deane from 1997 to 1999 and Tom Crean from 1999 to 2001. In four seasons, Wardle played 117 games with 93 starts. As a senior in 2000–01, Wardle was Marquette's leading scorer with 18.8 points per game; he would end his college career as the no. 3 all-time leading scorer at Marquette. Kohl Center
The Kohl Center is a multi-purpose arena located at the University of Wisconsin–Madison, United States. The arena opened in 1998 and is the home of the university's men's basketball and ice hockey teams, and the women's basketball team. The Kohl Center has the fourth largest seating capacity in the Big Ten Conference with 17,287 for basketball and 15,539 for hockey. The 2014–15 Wisconsin Badgers men's basketball team represented the University of Wisconsin–Madison in the 2014–15 NCAA Division I men's basketball season. This was Bo Ryan's 14th and final full season as head coach at Wisconsin. The team played their home games at the Kohl Center in Madison, Wisconsin and were members of the Big Ten Conference.They finished the season 36–4, 16–2 in Big Ten play to win the Big Ten regular season championship. They defeated Michigan, Purdue, and Michigan State to win the Big Ten tournament and earn an automatic bid to the NCAA tournament. This marked the Badgers' 17th straight trip to the Tournament.
