2014–15 Furman Paladins Men's Basketball Team
The 2014–15 Furman Paladins men's basketball team represented Furman University during the 2014–15 NCAA Division I men's basketball season. The Paladins, led by second year head coach Niko Medved, played their home games at Timmons Arena and were members of the Southern Conference. After going just 5–13 in conference play to finish in last place, the Paladins won three games in the 2015 Southern Conference men's basketball tournament, Southern Conference tournament before losing by 3 points in the finals to top-seeded 2014–15 Wofford Terriers men's basketball team, Wofford. The team finished the season 11–22 overall. Niko Medved
Niko Medved (born August 10, 1973) is an American college basketball coach, currently the head men's basketball coach at the University of Minnesota. Prior to becoming head coach at Minnesota, he was head coach at Colorado State University, Drake University and Furman. Early life and education Born in Minneapolis, Medved graduated from Roseville Area High School in nearby Roseville, Minnesota in 1992. In high school, Medved was a letterwinner in basketball and golf. He is a 1997 graduate of the University of Minnesota. Assistant coach Medved was an assistant coach at Furman from 1999 to 2006. He spent a year as assistant at his alma mater, Minnesota, under Dan Monson (who resigned mid-season) and Jim Molinari. Devin Sibley
Devin Sibley (born February 6, 1996) is an American basketball player for Island Storm in the National Basketball League of Canada, the highest tier of basketball in Canada. He played college basketball for Furman. College career In his freshman season in college, Sibley was named Southern Conference Freshman of the Year after averaging 10.1 points per game. On February 1, 2017, Sibley earned Lou Henson Award National Player of the Week honors after averaging 24.5 points in two games. As a junior he was named Southern conference player of the year. He averaged 17.3 points and 4.1 rebounds per game to lead Furman to a 21-10 regular season record and a share of the school's first regular season league title since 1991.
