The 2014–15 Charlotte Hornets season was the franchise's 25th season in the National Basketball Association (NBA). The team was led by head coach Steve Clifford and assistant coaches Patrick Ewing, Pat Delany, Stephen Silas, Bob Weiss, and Mark Price. On May 20, 2014, the team formally changed its name to Charlotte Hornets, and acquired the history and records of the original Charlotte Hornets franchise (1988–2002) from the New Orleans Pelicans. Steve Clifford
Steven Gerald Clifford (born September 17, 1961) is an American professional basketball coach and executive who serves as a front office advisor for the Charlotte Hornets of the National Basketball Association (NBA). He previously served as the head coach of the Hornets and the Orlando Magic. Early life Born in Island Falls, Maine, Clifford grew up in Mattawamkeag, Maine, until the third grade, when he moved to Vermont. He played varsity basketball under Gerald Clifford, his father and head coach at North Country Union High School in Newport, Vermont. Clifford attended the University of Maine at Farmington, where he played college basketball for four years. In his final two seasons, he was team captain and was named Best Defensive Player. Noah Vonleh
Noah Vonleh ( ; born August 24, 1995) is an American professional basketball player who last played in 2024 for the Shanghai Sharks of the Chinese Basketball Association (CBA). He played college basketball for the Indiana Hoosiers. High school career Vonleh attended Haverhill High School in Haverhill, Massachusetts, before transferring to New Hampton School in New Hampton, New Hampshire, in 2011. He reclassified and repeated his sophomore year at New Hampton. In 2011–12, Vonleh averaged 16 points and nine rebounds per game. Kemba Hudley Walker (born May 8, 1990) is an American professional basketball coach and former player who is a player enhancement coach for the Charlotte Hornets of the National Basketball Association (NBA). Gary Neal (born October 3, 1984) is an American former basketball professional player and coach. He played college basketball for the La Salle Explorers and Towson Tigers. Neal began his professional career abroad with teams in Turkey, Spain and Italy before signing with the San Antonio Spurs in 2010. He mostly played the shooting guard position. The Stanford Cardinal men's basketball team represents Stanford University in Stanford, California, United States. The school's team currently competes in the Atlantic Coast Conference. Point Guard
The point guard (PG), also called the one or the point, is one of the Basketball positions, five positions in a regulation basketball game. A point guard has perhaps the most specialized role of any position and is usually the shortest player on the court. Point guards are expected to control the pace of the game. They effectively "run" the team's offense by controlling the ball and making sure that it gets to the right player at the right time. Generally, point guards are expected to be proficient in passing the ball and being able to get Assist (basketball), assists to teammates.
