Bob and Mike Bryan were the defending champions, but lost in the quarterfinals to Marcel Granollers and Marc López. Julien Benneteau and Édouard Roger-Vasselin won the title and ended a thirty-year drought of victories by French players in Men's Doubles at the French Open. They won against Marcel Granollers and Marc López 6–3, 7–6(7–1) in the final. Julien Benneteau
Julien Henry Guy Benneteau-Desgrois (; born 20 December 1981) is a French retired professional tennis player. He achieved a career-high ATP singles ranking of No. 25 and doubles ranking of No. 5 in November 2014. Benneteau did not win a singles title, although he finished as runner-up in a record 10 ATP tournaments, including holding a match point in the 2013 Kuala Lumpur final. He reached the quarterfinals of the 2006 French Open and the semifinals of the 2014 Cincinnati Masters and 2017 Paris Masters (the latter as a wildcard). Treat Conrad Huey (; born August 28, 1985) is a Filipino-American former tennis player who represented the Philippines in international competitions. Huey specialized in doubles and reached eighteen finals, winning 8 titles on the ATP World Tour. John William Peers (born 25 July 1988) is an Australian professional tennis player who specializes in doubles. He reached a career-high ATP doubles ranking of world No. 2 on 3 April 2017, and a singles ranking of No. 456 in June 2012. Eric Butorac (born May 22, 1981), nicknamed Booty, is an American retired professional tennis player. He was a doubles specialist, and for a period of approximately six years was the No. 3 ranked American doubles player. His best result was reaching the 2014 Australian Open finals with partner Raven Klaasen. Their run to the final included a victory over the World No. 1 team of Bob and Mike Bryan. He reached his career-high doubles ranking of world No. 3 in November 2015. Robert Lindstedt (born 19 March 1977) is a Swedish former professional tennis player who specialized in doubles.
