2014 FIVB Volleyball Women's World Championship
The 2014 FIVB Women's Volleyball World Championship, FIVB Women's World Championship was the seventeenth edition of the competition, contested by the 24 senior women's national teams of the members of the ' (FIVB), the sport's global governing body. The final tournament was held from 23 September to 12 October 2014 in Italy. The United States women's national volleyball team, United States won their first world title, defeating China women's national volleyball team, China in four sets at the final. Reigning Olympic champions Brazil women's national volleyball team, Brazil won the 3rd place match, defeating Italy women's national volleyball team, Italy in five sets. Giorgio Napolitano
Giorgio Napolitano (; 29 June 1925 – 22 September 2023) was an Italian politician who served as President of Italy from 2006 to 2015, the first to be re-elected to the office. In office for 8 years and 244 days, he was the longest-serving president, until the record was surpassed by Sergio Mattarella in 2023. Mediolanum Forum
Unipol Forum (formerly the FilaForum, DatchForum and Mediolanum Forum; known as the Forum di Milano in events where commercial naming rights are prohibited) is an indoor sports arena that is located in Assago, a small town 3 km outside Milan, Italy. The Confederación Sudamericana de Voleibol (CSV) ( Portuguese: ) is the continental governing body for the sports of volleyball in South America.
