2014 Canadian Direct Insurance BC Men's Curling Championship
The 2014 Canadian Direct Insurance BC Men's Curling Championship, the provincial men's curling championship for British Columbia, was held from February 4 to 9 at the Vancouver Curling Club in Vancouver, British Columbia. The winning team of John Morris represented the home province of British Columbia at the 2014 Tim Hortons Brier in Kamloops. Jeff Richard
Jeffrey Richard (born March 24, 1979) is a Canadian curler from Kelowna, British Columbia. To date, Richard has won two provincial championships and has made two Brier appearances. In 2010, Richard won the 2010 BC Men's provincial as skip. In 2016, Richard joined Team Geall. In 2017, Richard played in the Canadian Mixed Doubles with Sarah Wark In 2018, Richard would win his second provincial title, defeating Team Cotter in the final in an extra end. Brent Pierce
Brent Pierce (born July 7, 1969) is a Canadian curler and coach from New Westminster, British Columbia. Career Pierce is a 1987 provincial junior champion skip, and a four-time provincial champion, former national and world champion playing third for Greg McAulay. Pierce last represented BC at the Brier in 2009 with the Sean Geall team. Pierce's 1987 Vancouver team of Darin Fenton, Bryan Miki, and Ross Graham won the provincial championships, qualifying them for the 1987 Canadian Junior Curling Championships in Prince Albert, Saskatchewan. They finished the round-robin with a 7–4 record. This qualified them for the playoffs, where the lost in the semifinals to Team Ontario, skipped by Wayne Middaugh. Pierce didn't make it back to a national tournament until 1998 when he had joined forces with Greg McAulay as his third. Grant Dezura (born October 20, 1973) is a Canadian curler from Maple Ridge, British Columbia. As a junior curler, Dezura won two provincial championships, in 1991 and 1992. He skipped Team British Columbia at both the 1991 and 1992 Canadian Junior Curling Championships. In 1991, after posting an 8-3 round robin record, he led his B.C. rink to a semifinal loss to Northern Ontario's Jason Repay. Dean A. "Skippy" Joanisse (born December 8, 1971) is a Canadian curler from Maple Ridge, British Columbia. Career Joanisse is most notable for skipping his British Columbia team to the 1989 Canadian Junior Curling Championships title, qualifying him to represent Canada at the 1990 World Junior Curling Championships.
