Chad Wingard
Chad Jordan Wingard (born 29 July 1993) is a professional Australian rules footballer playing for the Hawthorn Football Club in the Australian Football League (AFL). He was drafted to Port Adelaide with the sixth selection in the 2011 AFL Draft from the Sturt Football Club in the South Australian Football League (SANFL). Early life Wingard was born in Murray Bridge, South Australia. He went to Unity College Murray bridge. His father Trevor is part of the Indigenous Australian Kaurna people and his mother Julie is Irish. Julie works at an emergency accommodation centre. Chad has an older brother and a younger brother, as well as five younger foster siblings. At 16 and 60 kg, Wingard was a member of Murray Bridge's 2009 Imperial Football Club league team that won the River Murray Football League premiership. In that game, he kicked five goals. Melbourne Cricket Ground
The Melbourne Cricket Ground (MCG), also known locally as "The 'G", is an Australian sports stadium located in Yarra Park, Melbourne, Victoria. Founded and managed by the Melbourne Cricket Club, it is the largest stadium in the Southern Hemisphere, the 11th largest globally, and the second largest cricket ground by capacity. James Podsiadly (born 10 September 1981) is a former professional Australian rules football player who played for the Geelong Football Club and the Adelaide Football Club in the Australian Football League (AFL). He was drafted by as a mature-age rookie at pick #50 in the 2010 rookie draft and was traded to Adelaide after the 2013 season. Early life Podsiadly grew up in the Melbourne suburb of Spotswood. Growing up he played soccer and tennis, and began playing football seriously at the age of 17. When Podsiadly was ten, his grandfather became a significant influence in his life. Travis Cloke
Travis Cloke (born 5 March 1987) is a former professional Australian rules footballer who played for the Collingwood Football Club and in the Australian Football League (AFL). Cloke was drafted under the father-son rule by Collingwood in the 3rd round (no.39 overall) of the 2004 AFL Draft. He was the third and youngest son of David Cloke, who played 333 matches for Richmond and Collingwood between 1974 and 1991, joining older brothers Jason and Cameron. Matt Rosa
Matthew Rosa (born 23 November 1986) is a former Australian rules footballer who played for the Gold Coast Football Club in the Australian Football League (AFL). Originally from Warracknabeal and later Ballarat, Victoria, Rosa played under-18 football for the North Ballarat Rebels in the TAC Cup before being drafted by the West Coast Eagles in the 2004 National Draft. He made his debut for the club in 2005 and was nominated for the AFL Rising Star the following season in 2006. He played 168 games for West Coast but at the end of the 2015 season, requested a trade to the Gold Coast Suns. Having played 207 games, Rosa hung up the boots at the end of the 2018 season. James Kelly (born 29 December 1983) is a former professional Australian rules footballer who played for the Geelong Football Club and Essendon Football Club in the Australian Football League (AFL). Scott Thompson (born 14 March 1983) is a former Australian rules footballer who played for the Melbourne Football Club and Adelaide Football Club in the Australian Football League (AFL). He was drafted by with pick 16 in the 2000 national draft from in the SANFL, and was traded to Adelaide after the 2004 season. AFL career Melbourne (2001–2004) Thompson debuted with in round 10, 2001 as an 18-year-old. After winning the club's Best First Year Player award in 2001, subsequent injuries caused him to struggle to break into the side for the next two years. George Horlin-Smith
George Horlin-Smith (born 22 December 1992) is a former Australian rules footballer who played for the Gold Coast Football Club and the Geelong Football Club in the Australian Football League (AFL). Early life Horlin-Smith went to Pembroke School in Adelaide, South Australia. Horlin-Smith was a promising cricketer, having co-captained the Australian under-16 cricket team to the West Indies in 2008, but he decided to pursue a career in football. Tom Jonas
Thomas Jonas (born 9 January 1991) is a professional Australian rules football player at the Port Adelaide Football Club in the Australian Football League (AFL). He made his first appearance at the senior level in the 2011 AFL season. Jonas, along with former teammate John Butcher, made his debut in round 21, against where Port Adelaide were defeated by 165 points. To date, it remains the worst defeat suffered by any player in his debut match in VFL/AFL history. He was suspended for six matches in 2016 for intentionally striking West Coast's Andrew Gaff, leaving Gaff unconscious for two minutes. Jeremy Howe (born 29 June 1990) is a professional Australian rules footballer playing for the Collingwood Football Club in the Australian Football League (AFL). He previously played for the Melbourne Football Club from 2011 to 2015. Carrara Stadium
Carrara Stadium (known commercially as Metricon Stadium) is a stadium on the Gold Coast in Queensland, Australia, located in the suburb of Carrara. The stadium is primarily used for Australian rules football, serving as the home ground of the Gold Coast Suns, who compete in the Australian Football League.
