2014–15 Northeast Conference Men's Basketball Season
The 2014–15 NEC men's basketball season began with practices in October 2014, followed by the start of the 2014–15 NCAA Division I men's basketball season in November. Conference play started in early January 2015 and concluded in March with the 2015 Northeast Conference men's basketball tournament. VCU Rams Men's Basketball
The VCU Rams men's basketball team is the intercollegiate men's basketball team that represents Virginia Commonwealth University. The Rams joined the Atlantic 10 Conference in the 2012–13 season after previously competing in the Colonial Athletic Association (CAA). In 2017, VCU was ranked the 40th most valuable men's basketball program in the country by ''The Wall Street Journal''. With a valuation of $56.9 million, VCU ranked second in the Commonwealth of Virginia, and second in the A-10 Conference. The 2014–15 Sacred Heart Pioneers men's basketball team represented Sacred Heart University during the 2014–15 NCAA Division I men's basketball season. Cane Broome
Cane Broome (born November 29, 1994) is an American professional basketball player for the St. John's Edge of the National Basketball League of Canada. He played college basketball for the Sacred Heart Pioneers and the Cincinnati Bearcats. College career He was named Northeast Conference Player of the Week three times as a sophomore. On February 20, 2016, he became the only player since the 2010–11 season score at least 39 points, post six rebounds and six assists without turning the ball over. Broome was named Northeast Conference Men's Basketball Player of the Year in his sophomore season at Sacred Heart, just the second sophomore to do so. Marcquise DeAndre Reed (born April 21, 1995) is an American professional basketball player for Tofaş of Basketbol Süper Ligi (BSL). He played college basketball for Clemson. High school career Reed attended St. Vincent Pallotti High School, where he was coached by Shae Johnson. His teammate, former St. John's and Texas Tech player Tariq Owens, received more attention from college coaches, who were often surprised by the play of Reed. Bashir Mason
Bashir Mason (born February 11, 1984) is an American college basketball coach and current head men's basketball coach at Saint Peter's University. He was previously an assistant coach at Marist College in 2008, and an assistant coach at Wagner College in 2010. Mason played high school basketball at St. Benedict's Preparatory School, then joined head coach Bruiser Flint to play college basketball at Drexel University. He was a four-year starter for the Dragons, scoring over 1,000 points and handing out 471 assists as a point guard. He was a Colonial Athletic Association (CAA) all-defensive player every season, as well as the CAA's defensive player of the year as a freshman. Rob Krimmel (born September 27, 1977) is an American men's basketball head coach who was the head coach at Saint Francis University (Pennsylvania), Saint Francis University in Loretto, Pennsylvania from 2012 until 2025. Saint Francis University Krimmel was named the 21st head coach in Saint Francis University men's basketball program history, succeeding Don Friday who was fired after 4 seasons at the helm.
