2013–14 Washington State Cougars Men's Basketball Team
The 2013–14 Washington State Cougars men's basketball team represented Washington State University during the 2013–14 NCAA Division I men's basketball season. The Cougars led by, 5th year head coach Ken Bone (basketball), Ken Bone, they played their games at the Beasley Coliseum and were members of the Pac-12 Conference. They finished with a record of 10–21 overall, 3–15 in Pac-12 play to finish in eleventh place. They lost in the first round of the 2014 Pac-12 Conference men's basketball tournament to Stanford. On March 18, 2014 it was announced that Ken Bone was fired after 5 seasons with Washington State. Ken Bone (basketball)
Kenneth Walter Bone (born May 21, 1958) is an American basketball coach, most recently the associate head coach at Pepperdine University. Coaching career Born in Seattle, Bone attended Shorecrest High School in Shoreline, Washington. His father Walt was a high school basketball coach. Ken Bone played junior college basketball at Shoreline Community College and Edmonds Community College before transferring to Seattle Pacific University in 1980 and playing there as a reserve guard for two years. Bone graduated from Seattle Pacific in 1983 with a bachelor's degree in physical education and later completed a master's in athletic administration from the same university in 1993. Bone was an assistant coach at Shorecrest High School and California State University, Stanislaus, Cal State Stanislaus before returning to Seattle Pacific as an assistant coach in 1986, becoming head coach in 1990.
