2013–14 UIC Flames Men's Basketball Team
The 2013–14 UIC Flames men's basketball team represented the University of Illinois at Chicago in the 2013–14 NCAA Division I men's basketball season. Their head coach was Howard Moore, serving his fourth year. The Flames played their home games at the UIC Pavilion and were members of the Horizon League. They finished the season 6–25, 1–15 in Horizon League play to finish in last place. They lost in the first round of the Horizon League tournament to Valparaiso. Howard Moore is a former American college basketball coach and the former head men's basketball coach at University of Illinois at Chicago. Moore replaced Jimmy Collins as head coach of the Flames on August 23, 2010. Moore most recently served as an assistant on head coach Greg Gard's staff at Wisconsin. Hertz Arena is a 7,181-seat multi-purpose arena in Estero, Florida, outside Ft. Myers, Florida, which is located between Miromar Lakes, Florida and Bonita Springs, Florida. Horizon League Network
The Horizon League is a collegiate athletic conference in the National Collegiate Athletic Association (NCAA) Division I. Headquartered in Indianapolis, the league's eleven member schools are located in and near the Great Lakes region and in part of the Southern United States. The Horizon League founded in 1979 as the Midwestern City Conference. The conference changed its name to Midwestern Collegiate Conference in 1985 and then the Horizon League in 2001. The 2013–14 Drake Bulldogs men's basketball team represented Drake University during the 2013–14 NCAA Division I men's basketball season. The Bulldogs, led by first year head coach Ray Giacoletti, played their home games at the Knapp Center and were members of the Missouri Valley Conference.
