2013–14 Southern Illinois Salukis Men's Basketball Team
The 2013–14 Southern Illinois Salukis men's basketball team represented Southern Illinois University Carbondale during the 2013–14 NCAA Division I men's basketball season. The Salukis, led by second year head coach Barry Hinson, played their home games at the SIU Arena and were members of the Missouri Valley Conference. They finished the season 14–19, 9–9 in MVC play to finish in a three way tie for fourth place. They advanced to the semifinals of the Missouri Valley tournament where they lost to Indiana State. Barry Hinson
Barry Douglas Hinson (born May 12, 1961) is an American college basketball coach and most recently was the head coach of the Southern Illinois Salukis men's basketball team (SIU). He was born in Marlow, Oklahoma. Before SIU he was the Director of Men's Basketball Operations at the University of Kansas, head coach of Missouri State University and head coach of Oral Roberts University. On March 28, 2012, Hinson was announced the head coach of Southern Illinois University's men's basketball team. On March 8, 2019, Hinson announced his resignation at head coach of Southern Illinois University's men's basketball team following a loss in the quarterfinals of the Missouri Valley Conference basketball tournament in St. Louis. Mizzou Arena
Mizzou Arena is an indoor arena located on the campus of the University of Missouri in Columbia, Missouri. Home to the school's men's and women's basketball teams, the facility opened in November 2004 and replaced the Hearnes Center (which still hosts all other indoor events) as the school's flagship indoor sports facility. The arena also serves as the Columbia-Jefferson City market's venue for well-known 'arena' acts such as Rascal Flatts, Luke Bryan and the Eagles. 2013–14 Missouri Tigers Men's Basketball Team
The 2013–14 Missouri Tigers men's basketball team represented the University of Missouri in the 2013–14 NCAA Division I men's basketball season. Their head coach was Frank Haith, who was in his third and final year at Missouri. The team played its home games at Mizzou Arena in Columbia, Missouri, and was playing its second season in the Southeastern Conference. William Jewell College
William Jewell College is a private liberal arts college in Liberty, Missouri, United States. It was founded in 1849 by members of the Missouri Baptist Convention and endowed with $10,000 by William Jewell. It was associated with the Missouri Baptist Convention for over 150 years until it separated in 2003 and became independent.
