2013–14 LNB Pro B Season
The 2013–14 LNB Pro B season was the 27th season of the Pro B, the France second basketball tier, organised by the LNB. SOMB Boulogne-sur-Mer won the league championship, after finishing first in the regular season with 32 wins. SOMB promoted to the Pro A along with Playoffs winner JL Bourg-en-Bresse and wild card receivers SPO Rouen Reims Champagne. Regular season All teams played each other twice, once at home and once away. After this, all teams played all teams in their geographic poule at home and away. ;Standings Promotion playoffs The eight highest placed from the regular season with exception of the champions qualified for the promotion playoffs. In all rounds a best-of-three format was used. JL Bourg promoted to the 2014–15 Pro A season as the winner of the promotion playoffs. The Ligue nationale de basket (LNB; English: National Basketball League) is the governing body of men's professional club basketball in France. The LNB organises the first-tier Pro A and the second-tier Pro B. Additionally, the federation annually organises the Leaders Cup, Match des Champions and LNB All-Star Game. The LNB was established in 1987 by a committee consisting of high level professional clubs from France. In 1990, the LNB overtook the CCHN as the organizer of the top tier competition in France. Fos Provence Basket, also known as Fos-sur-mer, is a professional basketball team based in Fos-sur-mer, France. The team currently plays in the second tier LNB Pro B. Home games are played in the Complexe sportif Parsemain, which has a capacity of 2,000 people. History The club was founded on 13 January 1972 as Frat Fosséenne by its founders Paul Bruyère and Jean Lovato. On 18 January 2020, Fos received Saint-Quentin Basket-Ball at the Palais des Sports in Marseille and set its attendance record with 3,384 spectators. On 15 June 2018, Fos Provence promoted to the first-tier LNB Pro A for the first time in history, after defeating Roanne in the finals of the promotion play-offs. Saint-Quentin Basket-Ball, commonly known as Saint-Quentin BB, is a French basketball club playing in the LNB Pro A (the top-tier men's professional basketball league in France), based in the commune of Saint-Quentin in the department of Aisne. History Saint-Quentin BB was founded in 1973 from the merger of the Amicale Jumentier and Union sportive des Cheminots. The new club disputes the regional championship Excellence. In 1982, became a new merger between Saint-Quentin BB and Foyer laïque d'Harly. In 1988, Saint-Quentin BB accessed by 1A (now Pro A). Hyères-Toulon Var Basket, also referred to as simply Hyères-Toulon or HTV, is a basketball club based in Hyères and Toulon, France. Created by the merger of Omni Sport Hyerois and Club Sportif Toulonnais, the club shares its home games between the Espace 3000 in Hyères and the Palais des Sports in Toulon. After several years in the LNB Pro A and LNB Pro B, the professional section of the club was dissolved in 2018. History Hyères-Toulon was promoted to the Pro A as the regular season champion of the 2015–16 LNB Pro B season. In the 2016–17 Pro A season, the club ended 15th in the standings which was enough to avoid relegation. In the 2017–18 season, HTV ended last in the standings with only 6 wins.
